Ok I don't see why I should suffer alone! My two furry four legged feline devils from hell woke me up at 5am this morning and have not been able to get back to sleep. So because of this excellent forum I have friends in many countries and time zones I now turn to you for a little entertainment until my my darling wife gets up to cook me breakfast! ( not really, I'll cook it:smile2:)

So here's a simple poll in the run up to Westcoaster re the forthcoming Russians

I'm undecided purely on a financial basis, my War budget is stretched with my Battle of Britain , Normandy and Bulge campaigns, but as happens a lot I'll see what's coming and want in!!

Rob

Yes,

But only Russians from 1805 - 1815

MORE NAPs

John

Rob..

Said before we are already there in terms of german releases. Its only a case of getting a few russians that makes it official.

All you have to decide rob is if you want some russian armour?
Mitch

Rob

Im like you, my budget is already stretched! I would love to collect the Russian stuff and im sure Andy will release some tempting stuff but it is out of my reach. I'll still grab a few German sets (like the Tiger i already have) but it will be few and far between..

Tom

I don't know why you put yourself through this agony. Mitch is right - you need buy only a few Russian pieces and not all at once to do the eastern front. Just decide if you want winter or summer. Because you know you can hold out from buying only until you see a model in person ^&grin^&grin

I have been waiting for more Russian armour and have held off buying some other AFVs knowing Ivan was coming - so I am ready for the onslaught

There's no agony Terry, it's not a serious post, just chatting.

Will be interesting to see just how much is coming:wink2:

Rob

stormski in a teacupski!!!!! there won't be anywhere near lots and lots of releases IMO. Interesting that a bren gun carrier has been posted as I have just opened a box sent to me to repaint the grant tank and, an old churchill to recreate lend lease armour to the russki's for battles around the Kursk area

Really? Well see how you react at the next London Show when the Russian AFVs are on the table in front of you and Wraith is whispering in your ear "Go ahead - get one. Just one can't be a problem" {sm2}^&grin^&grin

No, I wouldn't expect lots, but I think we will have some breadth of choice.

I suspect he won't even have to say a word, I reckon some of these releases will sell themselves.^&cool

Rob

Rob..

Not sure on the breadth of choice as, there is not a lot of russian armour to do there will be the obligatory green and some at a later date winter white T-34's possibly, some other AFV's if, they come possibly, a new Katyusha. As 4 figure sets seem to have gone by the wayside a handful of sets in two and three format.

I think the build up and forum chatter will be greater than the releases themselves. Much has been said on what people say they want but, I think it will be a very traditional release with no massive surprises in terms of russians. Will they seel? yes initially as its new but, long term I have my doubts on the success of them as big sellers
Mitch

Mitch,

No not a wide choice of AFV's, but lets just see what comes along, I'm sure Eastern front collectors will be happy with whatever is released:smile2:

Rob...

Thats all we can do but, until then we have the forum to speculate either way

I don't know if I would buy any new Russians, but if a KV-1 or a new T-34/76 in either summer or winter scheme was announced, I'd probably have to get those.
