Gents,

Yup, thats right you have a die hard Spurs fan in the mix here and GO SPURS GO!

John from Texas

yes...

the citizens of San Antonio should be in a good mood when we arrive...

San Antonio up 2-0 is a good start...

last night's game was a blowout...

Duncan...Parker and Ginobli were sitting on the bench in the 4th quarter having a grand time resting with a 30 point lead...

That series, barring a miracle, is essentially over.

The Pacers seem to have shaken off their lethargy and it will take all of Miami's talent to get to the final. Other than Indiana, I think most want to see Miami Spurs again.

Brad,

The whole city was in a state of depression after last years loss. In fact, the story goes that Coach Pop sat the players down at their first meeting at the beginning of this season and made them watch game 6 in its entirety. After it was over he said "I don't want to speak of this game again, now lets begin". Wow, and they have been on fire since. I really hope for a re-match between Miami and San Antonio and make this a rivalry that rivals the Spurs-Lakers era.

On a side note, I understand that Mr. ZB Lang has the "Lebron App" is that true?

All I ask is if the Spurs get to the finals, don't run out of gas in game 7 and fail to close out the Heat as they are very beatable this year, Indiana may very well knock them off as a matter of fact.............

Warrior,

Yup, no argument there (running out of gas)! Me thinks the Pop has it all figured out and will keep the team rotating and rested. We CANNOT run out of juice!

homecourt is everything in the playoffs...
if OKC had homecourt advantage over SA...
they would be favored to win the West...

SA just can't beat them at their home...

SA won game one by 17 at home...
won game two by 35 at home...
lost game 3 by 9 at OKC...
and it was really worse than that...

now losing game 4 at OKC by a big margin at halftime...

if they lose this game that will make 9 loses in a row at OKC...

homecourt is everything in the NBA...

In this case Ibaka has had a big impact. No Ibaka and home court wouldn't matter.

Heat have won on the road so they can win away. They're going to three-peat anyway.

Brad...

yes...
that's got a lot of truth to it...
without Ibaka...
they are a different team...

and yes again...
Miami can win on the road...
and it's pretty obvious that Miami will roll over Indiana...
they were 3 games over 500 on the road this season...
but honestly...
that's not very good...
that's the same dismal road record as Phoenix...
who didn't even make the playoffs...

now at home...
Miami was 32-9...

I really believe homecourt is everything in the playoffs...
it's a huge advantage...
especially with the current playoff format...

I hope the winner of the West can beat them...
and both SA and OKC have the homecourt advantage over Miami...

Mike,

Every year I send a bill to the Spurs for stress related game watching. I am so sick and tired of this emotional roller coaster that the Spurs put me on every year. Two years ago when they got bumped out in the first round and had the best record in the West...I boycotted the Spurs for a year...until Playoffs.

I can't take it anymore.

John from up the Street in Texas

If you can't take it any more John, why don't we exchange places for a year. I'll root for the Spurs and you root for the Knicks. See how you like that deal. Not too much I wager :wink2:

John...

I feel your pain...

I'm a Laker's fan...and I basically boycotted them this year as the few games I did watch early in the season...I didn't recognize anyone...

I kept thinking...

"Who are these guys?"

2 consecutive years of major player injuries will make a fan humble...

that being said...as a lifelong Texan...I am also a Spur's fan...a Maverick's fan...

and strangely enough...a Celtic's fan too...

Brad,

I suddenly feel re-energized and no longer wallering in Spurs sadness. The thought of going to Jersey and rooting for the Knicks is like:

-Asking God to Sin
-Buying Salsa from New Jersey...get a rope
-Receiving a toy soldier set from Ireland that is wrapped in Bubble wrap, postage and thats it. For f@#$'s sake!
-Going to a Mexican restaurant and getting store bought tortillas...yuk
-Asking for a "Virgin" Margarita with out tequila...good lawd I saw a tourist ask that once! (Probably from NJ)
-Salsa with out the chilies
-Mike Miller with out a drink

Man...y'know what...the Spurs are going to give OKC a school yard sissy beating tomorrow and by God I will wear every Spur jersey/trinket to make sure of it!!! I will light a candle by my Manu Voodoo Doll tomorrow and post a pic if I can.

John from Texas

PS: Your package goes out mañana.

John:

I don't think you can use the word sissy, even in a private conversation/forum. The commissioner could force you to sell your toy soldier collection, fine you and ban you for life. I don't think you will be allowed to transfer your collection to a family member either.

Oh wait, sorry this is not the NBA.

John...

heeeeeeeeeeeeey...

you're tarnishing my clean cut reputation on here...^&grin...

as former altar boy...

I have worked hard to keep my image squeeky clean by spending all my spare time at the church, the library and doing charity work...

John,

You need to get out of Texas more often. The Knicks are in New York and, oh yeah, the Nets are in Brooklyn.

I'm sure San Antone is a nice little pueblo, one that we could fit in a little corner in Manhattan and have a lot of room left over.

And as as far as food goes, we have good Mexican in some part of the City, probably better than anything in that little hamlet of yours, as well as every other kind of food found in the planet. If it ain't in New Yawk, it ain't been made.

When you can get me some good Pizza, Chinese and a Knish, than maybe I will come down there. Do I need vaccinations? ^&grin

Brad,

"What have I done to deserve such dis-respect?"-The Godfather. Oh wait I started it!!!

For shame Brad, that you think that NY has better Messican food than Texas...for Shame. There is Messican food here that will make you change your religion. Plus, there are a couple of dishes here that make you momentarily pass out just from the flavor. As a matter of fact, I will bet that our Messican fast food would blow any NY high dollar Messican you got there. Did you know that Fajitas are field (as in migrant worker) food? I would also bet that New Yorkers "pan fry" fajitas and don't use mesquite wood for cooking. Tell me, that y'all have a forest of mesquite trees in Central Park just for grilling of fajitas, shrimp brochette and carnitas? Yup, thought so...and please don't tell me you have the best BBQ!!!

You have dropped the gauntlet sir and I am sorry that the Knicks nor the Nets can figure out where to play. They Knicks have never been same since Pat Riley left and the Nets...to Crooklyn?...good Lawd bunch of traitors.

I would love to visit NY and one of the restaurants I would like to go to is Tommy Lugers Steaks house. Apparently, it is the best? Maybe you would know better? But until proven otherwise I will have to put TEXAN Messican, BBQ, Chicken Fried Steak, Burgers, Steaks, Borracho Beans, Spanish Rice, Tortillas and yes SALSA toe to toe with NY. Naw, on second thought there is no comparison!

Now, as far as the whole "pueblo" thang is concerned...Yeah, I am sure SA could fit in a little part of Manhattan, BUT if we are to compare States to States, well I am sure there is spot in the drought afflicted West Texas that NY could fit int. I say "drought" cause that seems to be the status of y'all s basketball teams. But, if we want to talk about land masse I would rather live on 2 acres of Texas Hill Country than be 2 feet from my neighbor...or is it 2 inches?

Ummm...vaccinations? Well yes you may need one called "no mas puto", that shot is given upon landing in Texas. It is a strong elixir of Dr. Pepper (from Texas), Big Red Soda (from Texas) and a Prickly Pear (from Texas) margarita. If you get one of those, then you are good and can handle just about anything in Texas.

But, I will give you this, I have never had street pizza, street dawgs, or a Knish. They all sound so good, but I know for a fact I may have to get a gamma globulin shot for that.

Your brother from another mother,

John From Texas
