I'm new to Collectors Showcase with most of my armor collection being 1/32 and 1/16 FOV.
My question is: What is a good or bargain price to pay for the CS winter King Tiger without zimmerit?

This may seem like an obvious answer, but as the item is brand new and priced at $179, I would say ANYTHING below that price would be a bargain. IMHO.^&grin -- Al

At the price point and the quality CS are at a bargain price now. However, as they are brand new releases Al is correct if you can get one for less then its a steal, in fact its sale of the century!!!

Thanks for the replies and info.

Now, I have two questions about the Henschel winter King Tiger WITH zimmerit (#CS00454ZW):

1. Will this model sell out relatively soon?
2. Will its value increase or decrease?

Thats like how long is a piece of string? Its hard to say what will sell out quicker than others any manufacturer with a dealer network can sell out at the source but, can still have products available around the world.

As for increase or decrease thats a hard one you take a risk IMO if you buy a set from anyone with the mindset that you are going to make a profit. Some things that you may think would never make a profit often turn out to be the valuable ones and vice versa.

Probably best to buy for enjoyment and if it holds its value great if it makes a profit in the future.. score and, if it loses value ..who cares? you have enjoyed the set

Both questions almost impossible to answer. Even if it sells out, value is a tricky thing to predict. There are suppossed to be (I heard this, can't confirm) 100 of each of the KT versions. That is 800 total and that is a lot of tanks to sell. Value might go up, a bit, on a sold out version, or could stay the same as long as any version remains available. Don't bet on value increase, buy because you like it. Most CS models have not seen significant secondary market value increases, at least not the ones I have tracked. The Tiger I and Marder have gone up some, but I don't know how much. -- Al

CS Tiger I winter version sold for $303.00 on ebay a few weeks ago. No surprise really, given the quality.

I know a chap who has just bought the Arnhem flak gun and armoured car for £480 the pair. I think, CS is rising in the secondary market also
Mitch

I guess the secondary market price increases are good unless you are the one spending the money.^&grin I'm not too surprised about the Tiger but the price for the flak gun and armoured car are kind of shocking. Still, CS does make an excellent product, so the price increases are inevitable. -- Al

I suppose its just like other manufacturers some items go for good money and some go less. Thing is my mate does not feel he has paid too much money and is happy and they are quite hard to get.
Agree about the quality and also price point

Even at $ 179 it is still a deal compared to K & C King Tiger

GUYS:

Thanks for all the info.

I saw that one dealer stated there will be 150 King Tigers each released, so that's 8 X 150 = 1,200 total.

I would always say buy what you like. Of course that makes it harder to resell later. One might consider the value to ones self first. If you like the looks you will not be disappointed. The availble add ons make it an extremely good prospect for diarama building as well. I have a fair # of CS Vehicles and as yet have not resold any of them.:salute::
