Hi.
I've run across some sets by a company called Good Soldier.
Does anyone have any information on this company such as a website, catalog, or thread?
Thanks,
MikeNick

No website, it is a UK Based Company run by Alan Goodwin. He still sells at the London Shows. The last time I saw some of the more modern productions a lot of the sets were looking like the moulds were worn. That said, you still see the older stuff come up on ebay. At one time, i had a listing, but I cannot find it. Anyhow, they are still made for the most part, charming old glossy sets and the subject matter was usually quite unique in either regiment or theme.

I took these photos at one of the London shows a couple of years back.

Not the last as it turns out, these are from the London Shows in the Royal National days!

Alan and his figures.

Looks like he offers a mix of figures consisting of other companies' castings that he has painted, like the Rose figures in the early photos, to conversions of other figures and of figures cast from Prins August molds. Does he do any original sculpting, too?

Prost!

Tom,
If you ever find the listing, please let me know.

So the only way to reach him is by snail mail or a phone call from the States?

Hi MickNick,

I have an email address that I've used to send PayPal transactions to Alan. I tried to send it to you via PM, but your inbox is full.

Cheers,

Brendan
