Gordon Highlanders Defending... (1 Viewer)

Thank you Brent...thank you Ken...

Ken...I etch the grain lines with the back of an Exacto knife...

I water down a dark brown paint and slap it on...wipe it off with a paper towel...the dark paint will stay in the grains...

you can use a stain...the darker the better for showing the grain detail...

sorry...I couldn't resist...

Great scene, great buildings, great use of the Gordons!:cool::cool::cool::cool: I love the Sudan, and this is one series I will collect in its entirety. By the way, I love Polarbear's comic book cover . . . very nostalgic!

You should do a running comic book story on one of the Gordons in this format. Then post the panels in one of your TF albums

Something like this:

"Jock MacDonald"...hahaha...

Randy...

those are beautiful graphics you did...it really looks like a comic book cover now...

are you doing John's 2011 calendar for him...I hope so...your 2010 Snow Shoes calendar was beautiful...

if you're doing it...can you tell us what series of photos it will contain...

I would live to do something similar to the Robert Rangers comic thread...but I only own 4 poses...

I do have all the Wm. Brit Mahdist and FW's on the way...

John's Mahdist too...

Louis...I'm also committed to this range...I have already made 4 buildings for it with the 5th and 6th on the table now...

Glad you liked the comic cover

As you add pieces to your Sudan collection you can add a new comic book panel to your story. I see your comic book as a serial adventure--an episode at a time like the ones they used to have at the movie theaters when I was a kid. Eventually you will have a book.

Not sure what John's calendar will be this year. Maybe 1812 or Jacobite Rebellion since he has never done those in a calendar.

Randy
