Wayne,

Thanks for the heads up on where to get the mats from.

They look good in your dio and on weekend will ask an expert in modelling his suggestions and let you know.

Regards
Mark

Yeah I quite like that Wayne, we've got Bunnings over here too.....I think I'll nip down Sunday morning and have a wee look see...cheers mate!^&grin

Nothing like a bit of "grass" hey mate! :wink2:^&grin

It looks good though so i'll have to pop into the local Bunnings store (sounds like we are giving Bunnings a plug!) and have a gander.

Wayne,

The expert modellers at the workshop suggested weathering the grass mat with sand rubbed into areas of the mat and using a spray on mat vanish to reduce glossy green.

I did take a mat and had photo with the sand rubbed into area but unable to get photo uploaded onto tree frog.

Sorry my computer skills are not great but will work on it.

The sand immediately takes away the glossy look and really adds to the mat.

Regards
Mark

The poor bloke remembered to come back and grab his jumper but forgot to take home his grass mats :wink2: so I took a couple of pics to illustrate what he said about rubbing sand/dirt into the mats to add affect, with a spray of mat varnish to take away the shine and these mats could work well.
Wayne.

Thanks for the pics #2.

Thanks a lot Mark they do look better much appreciated.

Wayne,

Thanks for your great idea.

When Wayne No 2 sends them back to me (yes I am the poor soul who forgot) I intend using them in dios.

I would think with there size its leads them to placing multiple AFV just whats needed for Eastern Front.
