Great day (2 Viewers)

Martyn.
I still cannot see your pics on my laptop,.
I will have to wait until I visit my folks and use their computer.
Looking forward to seeing all these sets though.

Hi Damian

Sorry to hear that, I've emailed you some pictures of the Indian Army bands

Cheers

Wow! Big boxes indeed..

This entire thread has been a real eye opener to someone who doesn't collect gloss figures. :)

Jeff

Many thanks Jeff. Are you tempted;)

Bless you guvnor.
I really don't know why I cannot see your pics when you post them on TF.
Thanks.

I've resized the pictures so that you don't have a problem down loading them

I cannot view them from work because I believe Martyn uses something like photoshop, which is not allowed. At home, no problem. Are you looking them at work for Damian and maybe there are similar restrictions?

Hi Brad

Most of my pictures are posted via "Photobucket"

Martyn,

I figured as much. Usually, I have to wait until I get home to enjoy them :)

I have a LINUX system on my home laptop. It may need to be updated but I don't think it can read Martyn's pictures. I know the Lt (Joe) uses photobucket and I can see his pics fine.
It is a bit wierd.
My wife had Windows on her computer and I used to download Martyn's pics on that computer.
That computer crashed and is now being repaired so I have to use my own exclusively.
At work photobucket is blocked.

That's odd that you can see Joe's but not Martyn's. There must be some difference in what they're doing because it's just not logical otherwise.

I agree, that is strange. I have no problem viewing pictures posted by any Forum member using Photobucket. I wonder if any other members have a problem:confused:

Cheers

Hello guys,
Some browsers under LINUX just do not support .JPEG pictures format. All Martyn's pictures are saved in JPEG format as I could see....
It's never a problem for browsers running under Mac or Windows.

I probably need to upgrade my version.
Thank goodness that is free with this open source stuff.

Here are two of my "Head of the Column" sets

ARGYLL & SUTHERLAND HIGHLANDERS and CAMERON HIGHLANDERS

Great Highlanders Martyn! I especially like the ASH. I didn't know you could get these sets done up as Argylls, as the 93rd didn't serve in Egypt or the Sudan. They were, however, stationed in Cape Town in 1885, and judging from the pictures they were still in their red tunics.
Cheers,
Sam

Hi Sam

Glad you like the Highlanders, many thanks for your kind comments.

The A&S are part of the Trophy "Highland Brigade on Parade". I was very lucky to stumble on the complete sets which comprise:

A&S
BLACK WATCH
GORDONS
SEAFORTH
CAMERONS

Each set is comprised of:

HP1 - Head of the Column (3 Officers and 1 Sergeant)
HP2/HP2V - The Column (24 other ranks)

+ I have PD/B Black Watch Pipe and Drum Band and TR/B Black Watch Regimental Band (49 figures)

All sets are in Red tunics

They should look pretty impressive when displayed together, something that I intend to do once I have got around to picturing each individual set.

Cheers
