Hi.
I picked up this very rare Doureios Ippos Model. It depicts a scene by the painter Alexandros Alexandrakis and is of a Greek soldier on the Albanian Front against Italy. Love it!!!

Hello.
School has really distracted me from collecting lately.
I did manage to make some time to monitor ebay and here is one of my finds:
Pennant Miniatures Macedonian Infantry.
Thanks,
MikeNick
Hi.
Here I another set by Chlesea Toy Soldier Company. Greeks in Greco-Turkish War of 1897. The company mistakenly thought the war involved the Russians.

Three Aeroart figures arrived today.
One was of King Leondas of Sparta. I had been waiting three years to get this figure and it was finally restocked.
I also picked up a new figure of a Byzantine Tagmata Warrior.
Lastly, I purchased the Byzantine Varangian Warrior.

Could it be? Did I hit the motherload of Greek Evzones? The seller sold them for only 16 Euros. I paid over 20 more for shipping. They were only listed as "soldat grec bras artricule"
Dare I say Britains Paris Office Evzones?

Hi.
A few weeks ago this set by Romeo Models arrived. SPD Souvenirs painted it for me. It depicts the use of Greek fire by the Byzantines. The Byzantine aspect of my collection is coming along nicely.

Hello,
I have always been interested in regiments of the world. So with regard to Greece it is the Evzone regiment. In 1972 I found a toy soldier shop in Copenhagen Denmark who had an unpainted Evzone at the present arms. In 1980 I discovered the work of Giles Brown of Dorset Soldiers and asked him to copy and paint the Evzones in red and blue ceremonial dress. Hope you like the photos.
Kind regards,
Peter
Hello.
The Byzantine aspect to my Greek Collection is gaining great depth. Here is a resin kit by Chronos Miniatures of Byzantines troops on the walls of a city. I would like to imagine it is THE city; that is Constantinople. They were painted by Greek Heroes Miniatures. Here is the website: http://www.greekheroes.gr/. They have copies for sale.
Enjoy the view.

I picked up a few more figures from the Greek Heroes website. The Balkan Wars section of my collection is finally filling out. If my memory serves me correctly, they are both Doureios Ippos figures.
I also purchased a few semi-flat figures on the web:
