Here is a repaint and conversion for a collector who asked me to change his Blitz. He wanted it grey and, did not like the rear seats on the original K&C one so, I removed them and then replaced them with 'traditional' face-to face configuration.
I also was asked to repaint the driver which, as you can see meant removing the cab top which, is not as difficult as you would imagine and was also easy to replace and while I was on I replaced the existing glass as requested.
The collector still has not decided if he wants to leave it as this or, have bar supports added or have the existing K&C tarp. All that needs doing is re- attach the cab and put on a new reg plate.
I hope you guys find it of interest and, look forward to speaking with you soon.

Very nice finish. I don't collect WW2 as such, but I must say the German vehicles look better in grey, just imho of course.

Good info about the cab, I have two of them to paint in gray. When you removed the rear seats, did it leave any holes?
Thanks

I used snip nosed pliers and broke away the rear seat as they were not required so, I was fortunate that applying some rocket glue weakner once prised they came away quite easily. There is two holes where K&C adhere the pieces but one came away quite easily the other not but, this was easily filled and sanded down so, a bit of patience my friend and you will be OK the same applied to the cab and I used a fine craft knife which allowed the cab to come away easily and, again, sanded down the cab.

I have other pics I can post should you feel they may help just let me know

Best Wishes
