I just got in the Heer tank riders and a pointing soldier with MP40 from the Stalingrad line and decided to make a little quick set up with a FOV Stug III which I made into a Grossdeutschland Stug with some decals from Tamiya. I've used just one of the tank riders (tanker figure is also FOV) and the pointing MP40 figure for this scene somewhere in Russia.

Nice Duke, looks like a scene from the plains of Russia!

Tom

Very nicely done Duke . . . I especially like the B&W photo - very realistic looking . . .

I have to bring this SIZE (Not scale) thing up again. I am not as dumb as I look. I was using my FL soldiers with my 1/32 scale FOV and my 1/32nd scale Figarti Tiger with acceptable results before anyone. Most said I was crazy...Now I have seen several scenes with FL and FOV used together and now it is acceptable.

ONCE AGAIN I don't care what scale / size FL are they are magnificent figures. This is what got Matt mad at BSP and he cut relations with us. This was not fair and BSP was within bounds with our discussion. We don't play ....we take this hobby seriously and we would not mislead anyone. Matt this was your bad, and you negated a lot of excellent projects that the collectors would have enjoyed, matching our gritty work with your excellent products.

This wonderful scene is another example of FL /FOV compatibility, not perfect but acceptable.. Alex

Duke, nicely done.
I'd seen a few pics and threads of FL with FOV vehicles (and learned Figarti as well), nice to know there is potential to 'mix and match' a bit.

Thanks again guys.:smile2:

Since a couple of you have mentioned mixing and matching with FOV, that's one reason I've started collecting First Legion WWII. I believe First Legion WWII figures are basically 1/30 scale as advertised and they look acceptable with most FOV and 21st Cen. AFVs I've tried them with. Here's a thread in the General Discussion area where I measured out some figures as to scale with an explanation if anyone is interested. http://www.treefrogtreasures.com/forum/showthread.php?36220-My-figure-scale-experiment-result

First Legion figures are top notch and the acceptable compatibility with 1/32 AFV's makes them very desirable to me. Even though what I might consider expensive as far as figures go, I believe they are worth it. My collection will just grow at a slower pace than normal.{eek3}
