Having a brain cramp, I have had this figure several times and forgot who made it! Thanks!

Bump, cmon detectives, this is killing me as I can't remember!

Sarum made a figure of Gunga Din, but in a pose carrying water, not his famous bugle call. So I think we can rule that out.

Prost!

Correct, not the Sarum one. More background and I just can't remember who did this one, but it is in the style of Trophy, but it is not them, they made a standing Gunga in dark and light skin as well as there is a water carrier with one of the Mutiny sets but it is not this guy.

I also thought of Mike Ferguson, but this is a little bit "chunky" of a figure and I swear he did a Gunga Din, but it is not this one.

I have one similar to this. Martyn told me it was a Trophy piece but somehow I don't think so.

Brad,
I still hold that out b/c it is 100% in the style of Trophy from that era and timeframe, just not sure that it is. It very well could be early trophy.

Well, I couldn't find anything like him, in my Armchair General catalogs. I have their catalogs from 1995 through 1998. They carried a lot of Trophy sets, among other things. But no Gunga Din figure.

I agree with our tentative ID as another Trophy figure. I'd like to find a published reference, though, too, to confirm. I'm going to keep looking.

Prost!

Here are the three Trophy Din Brothers ^&grin

The one in the centre is from the Indian Mutiny set ME.4 and the two either side of him are both IA15 but with different skin tones

Cheers

Martyn:)

But seriously...

It occurs to me to suggest whether Tom's figure could have been made by Imperial.

Prost!
Brad

Definitely not Imperial, and the Under 2 Flags may well be the right answer too, nice Louis! I know I have another example of this figure in storage, the correct answer may have to wait til I unearth it and see the other one which I am pretty sure is identified.

Thanks!
