Anyone know anything about a company called Hadencroft apparently went out of business in 1995?
There's some gloss sets on EBay for sale and they look amazing!

Never come across these before. I had a look at the sellers stuff and they do look superb. I can't think they will hang around for long. Offers can be made I see ... if they were in my period of interest I would snap em up.

The name doesn't register. Do any of the auctions have pics, and if so, could you share the link? It might help to see the figures.

Prost!

Very nice figures but also unknown to me and not in any of my source material

To shed some light, these are better known at HM Miniatures of Great Britain. I can say with 100% accuracy that is what these are, they were special orders done in gloss.

That's a "blast from the past" Some of the first toy soldiers I ever sculpted was for HM of Great Britain. They went bust in about 1990 (owing me money!!) One of the original directors of the company, Peter Kingsland, bought everything from the receiver and restarted the company as Haddencroft Ltd.

p.s. The highlanders are made in two parts, so that the red could be sprayed and the tartan sett could be painted before assemble

FYI: Also under "More Glossy Manufacturers" is a forum entitled "HM of Great Britain" which was started on 5-12-12 and the last post (from me) was on 8-25-13. There are 115 replies, 13,114 views, and 95 attachments. Take a look.
