I'm posting these photos for Hadrian. He's a big Holmes fan and as you can see he has a wonderful and varied Sherlock collection.

Last photos.

Last but not least, Hadrian with Holmes.

I let Marcus know tonight that I posted it. Maybe he will offer a few comments. My favorite piece is the third photo in the first post. Very cool.

Very nice indeed! I am a big fan of Sherlock Holmes myself and have read and re-read all the books + have the movie collection with Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce that was restored by UCLA + the Jeremy Brett series. I have also SH books from other authors that are as good as if they were written by Conan Doyle. The best one I think is the House of Silk by Anthony Horowitz. Other good ones are The Mammoth Book of New Sherlock Holmes Adventures by Mike Ashley and The Lost Stories of Sherlock Homes by "John Watson" edited by Tony Reynolds. Elementary :wink2::wink2:

First of all many many thanks to Brad for posting my pictures :salute:::)

and then thank you very much guys for all your kind comments !

If you have any questions left to my SH collection please do not hesitate to ask.

best regards
Marcus

Brad the third one is a kit from Scale 75. It’s wonderful. It’s funny you just posted it bc in Chicago this summer I commissioned someone to paint one for me.

I love seeing a focused collection like this! Reminds me it can be done! Hahaha

Zach,

Thanks. When I asked Marcus about it last week, he told me the same thing.

Is there any chance you can your painter to do another?

Brad

It is an excellent collection, indeed!

I do have one request--would you be able to list the makers for each of the figures, please?

Prost!

Beginning with the K&C picture, I think the producers are:

German flats (Frenzel)
Unicorn
little lead soldiers
Little lead soldiers
Sarum
Tradition of London:SH,Watson and Moriarty, the 2 policemen are WM Hocker and the building is JG miniatures
Sarum
Unicorn (SH,Watson,Lestrade and flower girl - the 2 policemen are older britains I think and the 2 lamp posts are WM Hocker, tree by JG
Marco Navas from Spain (all 13 figures including backdrop shops), figures are resin, not metal !
my parents ^&grin, as it is me on the picture - I don t know who made the big SH statue behind me at the moment, sorry

Thanks very much! It's good to be able to put the maker's name to the specific figures.

Do you paint as well? Imrie-Risley has a series of Sherlock Holmes kit figures in its catalog

https://www.imrierisleyminiatures.com/literary-characters/sherlock-holmes

and they would be worth adding to your collection, too.

Also-are you after the figures that Charles Hall produced? I can imagine that that might be a Holy Grail for you.

Prost!

Thank you Brad, imrie-risley is very interesting, but unfortunately I don t paint (at least not well enough :smile2:)
Yes of course I would like to find some Charles Hall figures and I am still searching for the Trophy Hansom Cab...

I think I have all the SH pictures made by Sidney Paget, Frederic Dorr and Robert Fwcett ...and I am still hoping that all
these wonderfull paintings will inspire more manufacterers to produce more Sherlock figures one day ^&grin{sm4}
