Hadrian's Sherlock Holmes Collection (2 Viewers)

Hadrian,
Great collection, thanks for sharing. This is one my most favorite type of figure and I have amassed every Holmes set I have ever been able to identify except one.................JG Miniatures had a line of figures and they did a Holmes Set - "Hey Cabbie". I have tried everywhere to find this one but no luck. Even talked to John himself and unfortunately, he sold the molds to Fleuxbaix in Australia who is long defunct. SO , the quest continues, but again, thanks for sharing, if you ever are seeking a set or have any questions, let me know, I can quote from Charles Hall to Little Lead Soldiers!

Hadrian,

One more question as I don't collect flats, but can you give more info on the Holmes German Flats? Era? Are they still produced?

Thanks!

I apologize for butting in, but your question made me curious, Tom. I had a look at Berliner Zinnfiguren, my first place to look for any flats. A search on "sherlock holmes" returned this set of flats:

Not the same as Hadrian's, but we get an idea that at least some editors currently have Holmes in their catalog.

Prost!

Lovely collection!

Thank you Brad, imrie-risley is very interesting, but unfortunately I don t paint (at least not well enough :smile2:)

There are plenty of professional figure painters out there, many who could do a more than decent paintjob for reasonable prices. Have you considered that option?

Tom, I wrote a pm to you. regarding the JG miniatures it was the same story for me :redface2:- I talked to John too and he could not help me as well...I only know the set from the „Toy Soldier & Model Figure“ Hillestad-story, where we can see a picture of this set...

Marcus has sent me some photos from his great Sherlock collection, as follows.

Sherlock with Dog, made by Unicorn

Sherlock with Watson, Lestrade and Wilson

Holmes and Watson, made by Russian manufacturer Chronos Miniatures

Brad, thank you for posting my three new additions:salute::.
The group of four figures is made by Alexander Toy soldiers, I found this brand new set at the London toy soldier show.

The picture with Holmes & Watson is a kit, excellently painted by my special painter...

Thank you again for uploading my pictures.

My pleasure Marcus and sorry for the delay.

Let’s hope der Weihnachtsmann brings some more Sherlock figures!

Marcus has sent me some photos from the recent Kulmbach Show.

Here is Marcus and his son with the Lord Mayor of Kulmbach presenting his First Legion war elephant.

A new addition to his Sherlock collection.

Not Sherlock, but a beautiful flat.

Brad, many thanks for posting.
The flat figure is the 2019 club figure of the Leipzig collectors club.
Painted by my favorite flat painter Philip Fourquet.
The Sherlock figures are only 3cm high, made by little lead soldiers I think.
I had to give them eyes as the faces were only painted with skin color without any eyes.

Show was fantastic as every time, next Kulmbach show is in August 2021!

Marcus, if you have other flats, please send me photos. I’m sure many people would like to see them.
