Hi Everyone,

Following my week away doing all things Scottish, I thought I would share some detail I had missed mentioning and, to be honest, had just accepted as part of our high quality and paint standards.

One of the many comments made to me this week by people connected with and/ or part of the Royal Scots was that the detail of the Hunting Stewart Tartan on the officers Trews was outstanding, including the placement detail of the yellow stripes on the figure of Lt Col Peebles. This comment was to me twice. Once by a retired Sargeant and the second time by a retired Lt Col of the Regiment!

Part of the reason for this is the fact that these trews are HAND PAINTED and NOT transfers!

Take a look for yourself and please, do put me right if needs be but, tell me when you last saw painting of this quality and detail on a Scottish Regiment figure in the price range we operate in. (£35.83 each. £215 RRP Div by 6 figures).

Personally, and I know I am biased, I think these represent excellent value for money. Even more so when you consider they are limited and certificated to only 100!

Malcolm,

I have to agree with you that the painting of the trews are 'outstanding' !!!

I have painted a few soldiers in trews from this famous regiment, but mine done quite come up to these.... I do admit that they were done about 10 years ago, and I think I have improved since then, but I'll try to reach you standard next time :)

All nicely done fellas. I'm still hoping Britains does some Zulu War 91st Highlanders in trews at some point.

Hi John,

Thanks, I have to say though, the painting you have done is none too shabby :) Better than I could do these days, that's for sure!

Malcolm. :salute::

Agreed! Wish that other manufacturers would do half as well.

Bosun Al

Thank you Al,

Until they do, you have us guys :)

Tartan has been a thing of mine for a while and, this set was something I had, had in mind for a while and I am so pleased with it. As a result.... more Tartan will follow!

Best regards,

Malcolm. :salute::

Well, if people would buy them, they may be the first foray into the AZW for Empire...... I said right at the beginning that we will produce what people ask for so, if the interest is there for these, we will take a look.

Thanks,

Malcolm.

If they look as good as your Royal Scots, I would definitely buy them. There is a great colored plate of a 91st Highlander on the cover of the Osprey Men at Arms #57 Zulu War. A good selling point would be making them compatible in size with Britains and First Legion. I'd love to see a firing line of the 91st Highlanders...so here's your first AZW customer.

Great! Many thanks Breaker.

Our scale does indeed match WB and FL so that is not an issue. The quality of the Tartan will always be this high from us, I guarantee that personally!

Book ordered, research underway, which will be followed by planning. I ill update you as we go with this. It is now in the consideration pile.

Thanks again,

Malcolm.:salute::
