I just thought that in honor of the new Chinese Lunar New Year of the Dragon which started on January 23, 2012 I would post a photo of a vignette display that was made up by my wife, Karen. This photo was posted back in February 2010. My wife's display uses a more recent K&C set of grandparents being visited by very young grandson being held by his father while a younger woman is putting a tray of food items on a small table. Older set HK060 has an older boy and girl celebrating the new Lunar New Year as well. Background items were obtained from a local craft store. The flowers on the far right side of "the room" was transferred from K&C's Street Flower Shop set. K&C's Streets of Old Hong Kong is my wife's favorite series of miniatures. See photo below.

Dear Jeff:

Thank you for your comment on our extra display of two of our K&C Streets of Old Hong Kong sets.

Cheers! Gary

Gary..

Nice picture. I really like this range and only have one piece from it the wedding procession. Meant to collect more but, never got around to it and, sadly, probably won't now. Always like looking at the collections and dio's people place on here.

Gary,
Always a pleasure to see your dioramas. Just wanted to let you know the painting with the Chinese calligraphy should be displayed horizontally, so just turn it clockwise. Again, a wonderful diorama and hope to see more. All the best, Lawrence

Dear Lawrence:

Thank you for your kind comments. Also, thanks for your notation about the banner with Chinese calligraphy on the "back wall of the room" display , Karen has just adjusted it to have it now displayed horizontally as you suggested. Good catch! My collection and assorted displays or dioramas after just over 20 years of collecting are finally getting to a point where I am not adding or revising near as much as I did in past years. But, there will likely still be some at least minor new items here and there to report. I shall have to see what you have posted more recently relative to photos of your displays. I know that you have a splendid collection!

Also, thanks to "Mitch" & "Currahee Chris" for their comments as well!!

Best regards, Gary
