Yes and no. With a little patience, luck and networking, you will eventually find one. Though I hope you understand that one will never be enough![]()
Hi Guys,
Just got back to HK at 0600 hours this morning (Friday) from my U.S. visit.
Re the above question…Yes, K&C did produce a whole “flying circus” of hand-made wooden WW1 aircraft a few years back…Fokker Tri-Planes...Fokker D VII’s…Albatrosses…SE 5’s…Spads…and quite a few more besides.
Will we do them again?
You bet we will!!! Actually we’ve been hard at work for many months now on a less expensive brand-new “flying circus” which will be revealed in the not-too-distant future…After all, don’t want JJD to feel too lonely flying around those First World War skies all by himself.
Pip, pip and tally ho chaps!

Very nice collection of WW1 aircraft. The figures are really nice. Wish I had a set of them. Thanks for posting the pictures, Brad. The aircraft look much nicer than the publicity photos I have seen. -- AlHere are some photos of Louis' WW I K & C planes (may not be all of them) that I took a few years back.
Now that Andy has mentioned WWI aircraft I can reveal he did mention the subject of WWI aircraft during the Brisbane dinner in June. However he did ask Howard to not mention it in his write up of the talk and question and answers.
I can confirm there was no mention of the Spanish Civil War !
Regards
Brett

Good points, CFM. One could hardly have a WW1 aviation collection without the 2 most iconic aircraft of the war. Meaning, of course, Brown's red nosed Camel and Richthofen's all red Fokker Triplane, #425/17. These aircraft are always being done but with good reason. These 2 craft ARE WW1 airwar to most people. We fans of the air war can always build around them. -- AlThis is a very exciting new development, I can hardly wait! With all due respect to the diehards out there I think we need both the "Snoopy Sopwith Camels" and Red Baron type warbirds to start a collection and then add to it with the more obscure pieces. IMO these WWI warbirds are the most interesting, exciting, and colourful pieces to collect from that historical period. Thanks K&C.
