Have you got the new winter germans yet? (1 Viewer)

I'm picking up at least the Kettengrad from George next weekend at Hackensack. However, I might get the other ones too. Resistance is futile!

Trust me Brad, you don't want to fight it, they are the best yet. I moved some stuff out from my only cabinet to display them. Kevin

Brad, there's no way that you're going home without the Hummel, and most likely the Flakpanzer too, it's that GOOD!:D Like Kevin I had to pack up a vehicle just to make space for the Hummel. And it was the HB winter panther (sorry Ana  ) which is near the too of "favorites" list and you know what royal pain that is to pack and unpack! Resistance is useless, Brad, get that "home improvement" loan you've thinking about.:D

You're probably right Fred. I've been saving up my pennies for this show, selling off some jazz stuff I don't listen to anymore so I could buy some stuff from George at the show.

I have all of the new figures, and just got the Flakpanzer a few days ago. These are among the best K&C items to date in my opinion. The figures are incredible ! They just keep getting better. The Hummel and Kett are definite buys for me.

Agreed, Andy has obviously listened and the tracks are the best yet on the flakpanzer, drool.....:D

I got the 3 new vehicles yesterday,
I agree they are all superb, man the hummel is heavy.
The detailing on the tracks of the flakpanzer and kettenkrad
are a big leap forward.

Winter Hummel

It's advertised as a winter hummel with a dusting of snow. I see nothing like that in the picture. What does it look like?

Mr G, there's just a tiny dusting of snow on the tracks and the tops of the wheels, none on the body of the vehicle, but the crew is definitely dressed for the cold weather. You could easily put it in a non-winter display by using the crew from WS-73 Assault Gun.:)

I had a chance to see all the new WWII stuff today. The Hummel is a real beast. Nicely done - the tracks are improved but still not HB quality. Not sure why it is advertised as "winter" except some of crew are in winter camo. The Kettenkraftrad looks great. The winter camo on this one and the flakpanzer seems a bit darker or more yellowish than some of the earlier winter vehicles like the Winter Tiger. The Flakpanzer is somewhat awkward in its original design - not Andy's fault. I couldn't tell if the guns elevate, they were pointing down in the one I saw and the pictures, but if not that is probably a small negative. Overall very nice additions - amazing to see a whole shelf full of various KC vehicles. It really adds something to see them displayed in mass.

All these releases have better looking tracks, but only the Kettenrad, the M10 and the Strictly Limited Sherman have the new separately molded track design (a la Honour Bound).

I just got my HB winter panther and to me it just edges it in the winter line due to the overall job, but I really like the 38t tracks, I think Andy is about there now, even though I'm sure he will just keep improving further. I want another job to buy more of this stuff....
