Have you seen this from WB? (2 Viewers)

You are right... This photograph was taken of a sample preproduction with a resin sword blade in place. The production figures will use polished stainless steel blades.

Ken,
Is that common for WB(ie.Zulu series) do put SS blades on? I alway assumed lead. Many thanks in advance of your answer. Mike

PS- Can't wait for a certain building to arrive;):)

Nice looking piece. I assume this is the one shown at the London Show in June.

Myself and a few other guys who attended the London TS Show posted shots of this-premiered at the show.

As I stated then it is a stunning piece and the SS swords will be fitted just to this and any others in the series.

As discussed on this category before it will all be down to price. The quote for the UK was £120.00. US price??? well you can normally halve that. What with the credit crunch now having an adverse effect on Brits spare cash could be these figures are being released at perhaps the wrong time for there to be a successful series.

Is the Hussar and horse resin ? Dutkins ad does not say what this piece is made of.

So what do people think?
What do you think of the figure? The concept? The quality? The choice of subject matter? The price ($200)? The limited number (200 worldwide)?
I am assuming if this figure goes over well more will be forthcoming.

Shannon I have been peering at that picture a lot. The sculpting is extremely well done. The painting while nice should have been perfect. Whilst this is a prototype, this should have been done a lot better for the money. Looking at the brochure I discovered numerous paint misses. Look at the frogging on the jacket and the lace on the Shako. On the other hand look at the ears and the inside of the mouth. These areas are a flesh color! Typically these areas are ignored by everyone. So hits and misses. A slight edge over a normal run of K&C but not $200 worth. I might change my mind when the final veersion hits the shops.

Sorry for shoulding on the figure.

Yo Troopers, being a British Cavalry only and gloss not Matte, and always shoot from the hip like Heid. I think this is superb its what it looks like a work of art. If I could afford it I would definatley put myself out to buy these. Look forward to seeing a British Hussar in the same style, even though its only to look at. Its a CLASS act.
Bernard.

You must be going soft Bernard, I mean c'mon it's got a plate !!! LOL

I do have to agree with you. It is a mighty fine looking piece.

The section under the WBritains upcoming releases for this piece appears not to be working. It is working in the general Britains section though.

When is this piece due to be released ???

Yo Scott, Nah its the same pose as the Officer from Old Britians set # 1 The Life Guards, I am not that hard, only insist on no plates when it has four legs on the ground. But glad to see you are paying attention lol.
Bernard. :p

Although not always succesful Britains have done a couple of poses where more than 1 leg has been off the ground and with out plates
Interesting and somewhat possible using brush to fake a leg but not likely for this one. Anyway, I would like to see those BF, do you have a reference?

I'll dig up some pics when I get home from work. They are deceiving and not the best at standing up.

It is one of those things I'm going to have to see live up close and personal to make a sound judgement on.
However at 200 bucks it is already sounding a bit pricey for me!
It's just the Scot in me.
O.C.
( Now if he was a Mounted Hi'land Officer????)
