Take a look at www.iwl.me

It will analyze your writing and tell you what author you are most like.

I inserted one of my posts and it says I write like Vladimir Nabokov. High praise indeed, if only it were true

Wow..the latest article on my church newsletter apparently was in the style of Stephen King! I suspect the content may have been a wee bit different...

Drop this church gig Pete, you may have a future writing suspense novels. You could use the Forum as a backdrop :D

I write like David Foster Wallace whoever he is. Googled him and I do know he is dead

Certainly interesting, on the first sample it thought I write like David Foster Wallace; for the next it gave me Dan Brown. Pity it is all fantasy.

What if Stephen King was a Minister, I can imagine the heading of his next Easter newsletter:

"Sometimes They Come Back" - but in a nice way.

Mine came back Andy C. Neilson I know I have heard the name but just can't place it .

Kurt Vonnegut here. Interesting choice, I always thought of myself writing in the style of Ian Fleming!

Well...I got Dan Brown from the abstract of dissertation I did on anthropological art objects and the symbolism associated with them (sound familiar?)...so it seems it picks up on key words rather than style (sigh). I am guessing no royalty check, darn it!

split personality
David Foster Wallace second time around.. Never heard. apparantly US author?

Cory Doctorow? Canadian blogger. Sounds fun!

Yes, I'm thinking they don't analyse anything apart from consequential Amazon book sales.

It said for me James Fenimore Cooper.
I thought "sweeet" the "Last of the Mohicans" author.
I took one of my papers I wrote in one of my college classes, I copied and pasted the opening paragraph.

For me...Cory Doctorow. Looks like I have some homework to do now. Interesting indeed.
