OK, I'm tempted to get and HB "Damaged" Panther and display it with K&C GIs having captured it. Will these look OK from a size standpoint? Any other comments?

Gary, I use K&C & HB together, they look fine to me.

HB and K & C are both 1:30 scale and I have often displayed K & C figures with HB vehicles and visa versa.

I think the scene as described will work well.

Size isn't an issue. The HB colors are more subdued than K&C so if you plan to mix vehicles such as the HB Panther and K&C Panther the differences would be distracting IMO. The Dunkelgelb in particular is very different. An American vehicle, on the other hand, should work fine in such a scene.

Thanks everybody. The Treefrog gang has a Panther on its way as we speak. An advantage - if the colors don't look right next to K&C then I can repaint. I'm willing to do that on a $99 sale item.

Thanks for the help in getting me off the fence.

Gary B.

I can see it now in two years someone is going to comment on what an extensive German armor collection Gary has and Gary is going to say "Yeah it all started with HB's damaged Panther." :):D

I actually have a modest number of German items, but they are really are intended to fill ditches as wrecks while the US, British and French drive past on their way to Berlin! The Afrika Korps is also an area of interest - one of the few that I show the Germans victorious. The greatest irony is that the bulk of my family ancestry is GERMAN!

DOH! Gary It is ok to be of German Descent. In my case I have a German surname and I am 99% Irish! The only thing German about me is the name.

Try this on for size Steinrok! Das ist gute Duetsche namen!

mein deutsche ist sehr schlecht

..which is odd since I was born in Essen Germany. It must have something to do with moving to Canada when I was 3 months old :D

We just did a family tree and traced our families roots to a Gudenau Castle which is surprisingly still maintained by some family members. I would love to go see this place it sounds like there is alot of history that goes along with it. I guess it was occupied in WWII and partially destroyed an rebuilt.
