Hello,

I have not been an active member for a bit as I've had to put the hobby on the back burner. However, I have had this figure sitting on a shelf for awhile now and thought I might reach out to the forum for help in identifying the origin and unit identity of the piece.

Unfortunately, the figure took some damage during an overseas move but it still evokes very fond memories. I'd love to get it fixed up, assuming that is even a possibility but first I'd like to know what it is that I have.

I purchased the figure from a display in Mad Dogs Irish Pub (Kowloon side) in Hong Kong back around 1992/3. I was ashore for some well deserved liberty, which may have contributed to my hazy memory of the particulars. ;)

I've always thought it was a King and Country piece but I could very well be confused on that. I did visit their mall-based shop at the time which may be why KC is stuck in my head.

Anyway, any assistance will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Regards,
Dan

Dan,

Picture is not showing up (forum issues I believe). However, from your description, it sounds like a King & Country piece, particularly since Mad Dogs is a pub owned (or used to be owned) by Andy Nielson, the head of King & Country.

I will private message you and send you my email so you can send me a photo, if you wish.

Regards,

Brad

I encourage you to post a photo here, too, now that you've piqued our curiosity by starting this thread. I don't know about the rest of the crowd, but I'd like to see the piece, myself.

Prost!
Brad

Thanks Pete.

Dan, that is King & Country. If you want it fixed, I have the guy who can do it. Please send me a pm and we can discuss it. He will make it look better than new!

Thanks very much Brad. I'll contact you.

Thanks to you as well Pete for sorting the attachment issue.

All the best,
Dan

Brad has nailed the id for you. One of my favorite figures in my SOHK collection. Nice!
Tom
