Excuse my ignorance I am a new collector and new to the forum
does anyone know what happened to Heritage Minatures
I see from older threads around 2015 they were producing some lovely Zulu war Figures and Sudan Campaigns , I have never seen any of these figures on the secondary for sale markets E bay etc etc
did they stop producing ??????

PLEASE ADVISE

Perhaps you could send a personal message to Martin Tabony who is a member. He was the sculptor of the Heritage figures and knows the history. Robin.

Just seen this. Ken's still going with Heritage. Bit of a problem getting his new figures to him right now though. (There's a lot! ):)

Do you speak of this one
Heritage was setup in 1974 by Jim Oden to manufacture Hinchliffe models in the USA. In 1975 they began producing their own fantasy models with the Earth of Olde series. In 1977, Heritage merged with Custom Cast as Heritage Models and in 1978 they acquired Battleline Publications (boardgames). In 1979, after the loss of some banking support, Jim Oden left the company and they rebranded as Heritage USA. Financial problems continued and they filed for bankruptcy in November 1982, closing up in March 1983.
Because in the 70ies they had a fabulour range of Zulu War sculpted by Richard Sanderson, in kit form 54mm
I painted some with Humbol colours

My reading, and perhaps I am wrong, is that the conversation is about Heritage figures that are not made by Oden. The recent Heritage figures were sold through Maison Militarie, however, I think that they parted ways. The previous owner was not very good about answering email inquiries so I gave up. I have a few of the Heritage Naval Landing party figures for the Sudan and they are excellent.

Correct the conversation is regarding heritage minatures and Ken, not the other one referring to old Hinchcliffe 54mm

I also liked very much the Heritage from Maison Militaire..pitty I do not see them on sale any more....{sm2}{sm2}
Here are some of mine...

Im not sure how many sets of the zulu war range of about 20 -24 in the range plus the Sudan range seen in these pictures , they were part of heritage minatures/ Maison Militaire ( Heritage sold off the Maison militaire retail arm to concentrate on design and production a few years ago

I have never seen on auction sites etc and of there figures for sale , so im guessing collectors who have them are quite understandably keeping them close to there hearts .

be interesting to know how many sets were produced , not sure if they came with certificates stating limited edition number of etc etc
perhaps anyone who has some could confirm any info

The naval figurines that I purchased came wrap in bubble wrap and they were placed in a generic cardboard box.

I'm not sure what you mean by "No Zulu war there". That's a set of 1st King's Dragoon Guards with a Zulu prisoner.

It's nice to see them all lined up. The last time I saw them they were on my bench.:)

I would dump a big chunk of my collection to build an Afghan dio/display of these figures, - never had any luck getting a hold of anyone.
Sudan figures are nice too!

He are some of the sets in the collection.....Since I focused on the Sudan range, I do not have many pics of the Zulu Range...I do recall though asking Martin to work with Ken so as to convert some officers from the Zulu range to the Sudan Range....Not sure if Afeghan warriors were made.....:salute::
I really miss not having bought the Fuzzies also......
Cheers

Hi -- I can state there are definitely Afghan tribesmen to engage in the North West Frontier/ Afghanistan series. On the British Empire side there are Highland Light Infantry, some mounted figures -- British Hussars - possibly the 10th and an Indian Cavalry regiment. The 72nd, (Duke of Albany's) Regiment of Foot, resplendent in their Royal Stewart trews are also well represented. I bought an officer, a sergeant, and a private. Sadly my tech skill, or the lack of them prevent me posting an picture. However maybe someone out there can provide an image, or send me an e-mail and will send you an image.
Looking forward to see what develops. Hope the website comes back.

P.S. I also bought a German WW1 Jäger Machine Gun team.
