On point, a L/Cpl shotgun in hand spots an NVA Soldier just ahead of himself.

The non fiction book I'm reading at the moment "The Hill fights The First Battle of Khe Sanh " by Edward F Murphy" tells how the Marines came up against huge numbers of NVA mainly armed with the reliable AK47 whilst the Marines were transitioning from the also reliable M14 to the M16, that was not a weapon at that time you'd put any faith in and whose malfunctions caused the death of many young Marines !

Keep safe too mate

I think the ITHACA 37 was a USMC weapon of choice, a mate of mine had a very nice one....when we were trusted to own one....unlike know when it's only the bad guys:rolleyes2:
I do love the M97 TRENCH GUN myself
:wink2:

Stay safe

Another excellent backdrop projecting a stunning scene. Robin.

Cheers Robin ! :salute::

It's a pic of Hill 861 off the internet as you can see gets a bit foggy at times. Must of been pretty spooky when the fog came down knowing the NVA were out there and could and did mortar and attack at anytime !
