The first part of my 2015 Hiriart order has been a long time in coming, but it was worth the wait. It arrived from Montevideo on Friday, October 2nd. I have been busy the past weekend unpacking and organizing it in between watching college and pro football games and the Dodgers final regular season baseball games. Boy, am I getting decadent. Anyway, the shipment total of 66 sets includes 50 sets ordered by 18 different collectors plus 16 sets for me. I expect the second part of the 2015 order, with 44 sets, to be completed in December or January. I also plan on submitting the 2016 Hiriart order this month.

This is a Hiriart non-catalog double set of WWI TURKISH CAVALRY IN KHAKI that was ordered by Bob. He also ordered one extra man, not shown. Brian and Per also ordered this set, but with five figures (officer, flag, bugler & 2 men).

Another Hiriart non-catalog World War I Turkish set that we received is WWI TURKISH INFANTRY ATTACK which was ordered by Brian, Per, and me. There is another version of this set which several of us got last year which has the figures in 1910 blue uniforms with red fezzes.

I forgot to start this thread with a photo of the shipment as it arrived in its two boxes. They are getting pretty heavy for me to lug around since each weighs more than 60 pounds. I always borrow a chair from my seven-year-old granddaughter's room since it is about the right size for me to use while processing the order. I also must keep a vacuum cleaner handy and use it often on all the Styrofoam debris or else my wife will ban me to the garage to do this.

That set of Saxon Uhlans makes me think to ask, Mike--would they be able to paint them in the pre-war sky blue uniforms?

Here's what they look like:

Prost!
Brad

Yes, they can do it. As a matter of fact, if you decide to order them in the future, I will also order a set for me. I also suspect that several other collectors would do the same.

Cool, thanks! You know me, I like the Imperial period, and those would be some colorful additions to my parade collection.

Prost!

This is non-catalog set SEAFORTH HIGHLANDERS, SUDAN CAMPAIGN for Michael.

Brad,

I would love to see it. Maybe you can post a photo of your Christmas display on the forum for all of us to see.

Mike

This is one of three Hiriart non-catalog sets of the 60TH RIFLES, EGYPT ordered by Damian and me, plus one for general resale. I believe that their uniforms were also the same ones they wore during the Zulu War and maybe even during the Boer War. I especially like the Maltese cross on their helmets and the fact that they have back packs.

Mike, did Hiriart ever do Napoleonics? Michael

Michael,

Unfortunately no. However, Hiriart has made many catalog and non-catalog sets representing various South American units that are wearing, for all intense and purposes, Napoleonic uniforms. Did I ever send you a Hiriart catalog CD? If not, I'll include it with your order so you can take a look.

Mike

This is Fred's catalog set 1161 PUNJABI INFANTRY.
