This is set 1148 IMPERIAL GERMAN TOTENKOPF HUSAREN that was ordered by Collin. I also ordered one additional set for general resale.

I have to remember the Baden dragoons for my future orders. The Totenkpf-Husaren also make an attractive set.

Prost!

The Baden Dragoner is a great looking set. It was among the 30 sets on my first direct Hiriart order, all for my collection, in 2005. Several other collectors have also ordered it, including two or three who ordered double sets with an officer, bugler, flag, and seven men. If you would like, I can send you photos of their set so you can see the flag.

Mike

Speaking of the Totenkopf Husaren, this is Brad's add-on set 1148 IMPERIAL GERMAN TOTENKOPF HUSAREN with 5 extra men.

On post number 41, I inadvertently posted photos of Brad's 1148 IMPERIAL GERMAN TOTENKOPF HUSAREN add-on set with 5 men rather than Collin's regular catalog set with an officer, bugler, and 3 men. Here are the correct photos.

My favorites are the sets containing vehicles, have they ever produced sets with aircraft?
Ray

Love those early 20th Century German Empire figures!

Bosun Al

Thanks Al, so do I; they really display well. I believe that I pretty much have all two dozen or so Hiriart catalog sets from this period in my collection. I have photos on another thread of some of them on display.

You are very welcome Martyn. I enjoyed seeing what your favorites were. I would have guessed most of them, but the Coldstream Guards and US Marines Landing Party were a surprise.

Ray

Hi Ray,

The vehicles are pretty nice, basic, all die-cast models with no plastic or resin. There are just a few in the Hiriart catalog: German Panzer II (European and desert versions), British Bren Gun Carrier, and Italian CV33 tankette (European and desert versions) plus the new L3/35 Hungarian tankette variant. He is currently working on a German Marder III and will be making German, Slovak, and Romanian WWII Eastern Front versions of the Czech LT vz 35 light tank in 2017 for me and several other collectors.

There are also just a couple of sets that include aircraft in 1/750 scale (I think). The Royal Air Force set with a Gloster Meteor and The Battle for England with a Spitfire, Bf109, and Me110. I believe that he is working on a WWII in the Pacific naval aviation set for release at some point in the future since he sent me a photo of the US Navy aviator prototype.

Mike

Hi Mike

The Coldstream Guards could be marching off to the Crimean War, one of my favourite periods to collect, and the US Marines look like they are straight out of THE WIND AND THE LION one of my favourite movies:salute::

You can now add EGYPTIAN CAMEL CORPS, 1885 to my list of favourites:wink2:

Ah, that explains it. It is a favorite of mine, too. I thought the same thing about the Marines. I have even considered commissioning a US Navy landing party and Moroccan Palace Guards from the movie.

This is a double set of 1033 PREUSSEN INFANTERIE that was ordered by Fred. At last Saturday's order distribution and show and tell, Bob liked the looks of it so much that he has ordered a version of it for him next year. His will have an officer, full flag, 4 drummers, and 12 men, all wearing pickelhaube helmets. We will use the drummers from the Prussian band set, but Hiriart will have to change their heads since they are wearing different headgear.

Last year, Bob forgot to order an add-on set with 5 extra musicians for his nine figure RUSSIAN IMPERIAL GUARD GRODNO HUSSARS BAND. He likes to display his mounted bands with a director, drum horse, and 12 musicians. Here is that add-on set.

This is Fred's set 1149 WWII WEHRMACHT MOTORRADFAHRER DEUTSCHES REICH with an officer and four men. Danny also order an extra officer, since his set that he bough a while back had five men and no officer.
