What would you guys like to see made that does not have soldiers in it.I think Old Chicago with gangsters cops and building back drops could be fun.Cigar smoking thugs with tommy guns and bullet riddled cars damsel's in distress.Paper boys selling on corner streets so much to play with here.Have you guys got any other ideas without soldiers in them.Simmo.:confused:

I really would have loved it if K&C could have done The Lord of the Rings but I understand licencing would have been a problem.

It's funny you mentioning this now, as just yesterday I began watching The Godfather, and I am going to watch the whole trilogy, as I have never seen them at all before!:eek::D

Britains did a pretty good Lord of the Rings series. It was based around the first film and had quite a few nice pieces.
Since then here in the UK there has been a fortnightly magazine that comes with a LOTR figure. So far they are up to around 150 - some of them are truly excellent.
 
I think Trophy has done that with their Town and Country series.
 
I think that if you were to go and collect from different manufacturers you could amass quite a great London scene. Trouble is there would be no continuity.

How about a Barber shop and a Pie shop :D

What? No soldiers??? What a waste of money ;-) They already make lots of that stuff - it's called "Department 56". I got a bunch of the Dickens Village stuff from my Dad when he sold his house and moved to a townhome. It's all in boxes in the basement waiting for a good home.

On a more serious note - I don't understand the fascination with our American gangsters. Even the famous ones of the 30's were sociopathic murderers who placed greed and power over everything else including friends and families. They were the moral equivalent of the Nazi leadership. They just seem like gentlemen compared to the amoral animals haunting too many of our cities. OK, I'm back off the soapbox.

Yeah, but it would be great to mix in the "rougher" side of life in the 1930's with Department 56's "Christmas In the City" series . . . and don't forget, there are also the police and feds like Hoover (I know, he's a strange piece of work!) and Ness.

Actually the characters of "A Christmas Carol" or "Oliver Twist" might be a nice change

Andy did Dickens several years ago so I don't think that's one range we'll see from them.
 
What about coronation street lol, could do hilda & stan with the house & ducks diorama. Do the rovers with ken getting fatter through the years.

LOL too funny although Corgi did do a Coronation Street Icon series, I think was at least a half dozen figures, Ken, Vera, Rita, Mike Baldwin, Len Fairclough
