Hi Louis,

thx. Just finished modifying the sword taken from an Airfix dragoon.

Decided to model the saddle properly. Added buckles to the bags.
I made up the cantle to the correct height and sanded down the underside of the figure to adjust the seat.
I also removed the back flaps of the tunic and will remodel them over the cantle.

Finally completed the saddlery and ptd it. All dry now and I have fixed the marine to the horse. Will continue to finalise the ptg and the basing.

The troopers carried the sword and scabbard down the right side. Officers had a fancier mameluke type sword which was worn on the left hip.

A horse marine in China has to have a stone lion prop. So I created a suitable base for the resin lion using plastic sheet.

I added more architectural features to this typical stone lion base.

Here is another way to pose the horse and the prop.

Decided to use a more substantial base for this. I created some pavement pieces and stuck this over the groundwork.

I glued the base and stone lion to the base.

Creating a patchy grass groundwork. Ive added the horse marine to the base. Going to do a minor repair on the cap at the back.
