"Set in 1892, Hostiles tells the story of a legendary Army Captain (Christian Bale), who after stern resistance, reluctantly agrees to escort a dying Cheyenne war chief (Wes Studi) and his family back to tribal lands. Making the harrowing and perilous journey from Fort Berringer, an isolated Army outpost in New Mexico, to the grasslands of Montana, the former rivals encounter a young widow (Rosamund Pike), whose family was murdered on the plains. Together, they must join forces to overcome the punishing landscape, hostile Comanche and vicious outliers that they encounter along the way."

Quite good, but I really like Christian Bale. One of the "real" men rare today.
He does his duty. Best role and acting for Rosamund Pike. My kind of #MeToo
woman. Tall, lean and a good shot.

A bit long. A finely crafted Western with horses, whiskey and guns included. Filmed
in New Mexico with unsurpassed picturesque cinematography. Good entertainment, but not
quite the "come to Wounded Knee" moment the liberal reviewers espoused.

My wife and I saw Hostiles this past Tuesday. I really enjoyed it, however she thought it was a little slow, but then she is not a big fan of westerns. I would watch it again when it is available on TV . . .
