House of the DRAGON. (1 Viewer)

I did...it was pretty good...no lack of blood and gore...
they established quite a few characters...
but gonna be hard to follow in the foot steps of Game of Thrones...
still a good watch so far...

I'm starting to get bored with this one. They seem to have watered down the sex and violence. Not many of the characters are interesting. Plenty of woke undertones. And now they are skipping ahead and all new actors will be playing the roles. I'm hanging in there, but just barely.

It's still early, but think it's getting better...
the characters are getting more developed...

but the original GOT had a way more interesting cast,
you're gonna need to have your "A game" to compete with the original cast...
Tyrion Lannister and his father Tywin, evil Cersei, sadistic King Joffrey, sexy Daenerys, Sandor & Gregor Clegane, Little Finger, Eddard Stark...
they really developed these characters...
the list goes on forever, you either hated them or loved them...

I don't think it will ever rival the original, but it's getting better...
I personally really hate the character changes...
bad move so early in the show...

You have to give it time to develop as it took a little time to know the GOT characters also. If no one stands out after the first season then I think it won't get to GOT standards. So far only Daemon stands out. I do think Tyrion stood out from episode 1.

I've just finished the season and I guess I'll watch the next season when it comes next year. They've been some good elements but it has no where near the interest of the original's first series. The characters are mostly meh. The Mat Smith one is pretty good but he seems to have his hands tied half the time. I liked the king, he was a decent man for the most part but maybe they should have used him to deliver more impactful events earlier on. I was bemused to see the graphic sex scenes seemingly replaced by women having horrendous births.
The concluding and surprising dragon fight was a good development. I think the show needed more action overall. Yes, it's good to develop characters but it needs to be done with more drama. So, too slow overall.

In most areas House of the Dragon improved with each episode, complete opposite to Power of the Ring that continued to deteriorate.
