Hi guys I have just done a stocktake on my K&C collection and was amazed.I have only been collecting for maybe 3/4 years and how it has grown.I have 13 AFV's and 186 soldiers.Boy how things get away from you. This doesn't count for FOV or 21ST century tanks or 1/35 models or books or dvds on military subjects. Now I can understand why my wife says how many more do you want.A collection is something more than Three things of the same subject so do I have a collection or a problem. How big are your collections have a count and post your results.A bit of fun. Simmo.:D:D

Ok discounting my order that hasn't arrived yet:

AWI:
x26 Redcoats of various poses (including flag bearers, officers, fifers and infantry)
x12 16th Light Dragoons
x3 17th Light Dragoons cavalry
x1 General Cornwallis
x1 Hessian soldier
x6 American Militia

so for me - 49 (but I have only been collecting a couple of years)...;)

For me it's 84 K&C pieces (3 AFV) in nearly a year plus other brands (WB,JJ,and Del Prado) not included in the count (26 WB,5 JJ, and 11 Del Prado). For Pieces i mean single figures and the sets (the figure count of K&C is 94).

Sorry Classified Information.

(or its just I am too lazy to count them all ;) )

Interesting subject. Current collection for KC consists of -- 18 sets of WW2 Germans (9 AFV & 61 figures); 5 sets FOB (3 AFV & 6 figures); 5 sets LAH (1 AFV & 5 figures);9 sets of WW2 US Normandy theater troops (5 AFV & 29 figures) and 13 crusaders. Total of KC collection = 50 sets (114 figures & 18 AFV, which includes soft-skin vehicles). This is a considerable downsizing of the collection at its height as I have traded or sold some 29 other sets. I also have AFV and figures from 14 other metal toy soldier makers. These include 7 AFV and 450+ figures. Also have many plastic figures from childhood, some FOV, and a couple dozen die-cast aircraft from WW1 & WW2 eras. -- lancer

I have more than 200 vehicles, 71 aircraft, 16 dioramas, 40+ buildings and facades, and too many figures to accurately count (I would estimate I have more than 2,000).

It must be time to see some pictures of your collection Andrea! ;)

I have a few AV goodies mostly K&C some Figarti and a couple of NMA Lots of soldiers of all manufacturers. Matte and Glossy.I just packed them did not count except for the Tanks between 30-40. Don't tell Nancy:D

Very suspicious TITLE.., people like me with dirt mind-double sense, think right the way in………INCHES...:D

How big is mine ask the wife :p:D
But serious i only have one K&C fig......Coldstream gaurd

Approximate numbers would be as follows:

K&C Figures (WWII, ACW, Crusaders) - 972
K&C WWII Vehicles - 82
HB WWII Vehicles - 10
Britain's, Conte, CS ACW Figures - 535
Figarti WWII 4 Vehicles, 42 Figures
Russian Painted Figures - 24

Despite the amusing title, it was a good excuse to take approximate count and discover I have more that I thought. For me, my top figure producer is First Legion (FL) with about 76. The rough overall break down is:
Napoleonics: 53 British foot (29 FL, 6 CS, 11 KC, 2 TB & 2 WB); 45 French foot (all FL); 8 French mounted (5 KC, 2 CS, 1 FL); 1 British mounted (FL)
Greeks Etc: 30 Spartans, 25 Persians, 30 painted plastic Spartans (all Conte)
Romans: 20 Roman foot, 20 Barbarians, 5 mounted Romans (all Conte); 8 Roman foot & 2 Roman mounted (EoI)
Zulu Wars: 7 Conte; 7 WB.
Diecast Aircraft: 3 1/32, 4 1/48 & 20 1/72 (Corgi, Hobby Master & Dragoon)
Diecast tanks: 11 1/72 (Corgi and Dragoon)
Plastic Knights: 16 90mm (Schleich)

Oh well, miles to go I guess.;)

Hi simmo, i am sure your enjoying your collection as it is a good size right now. But wait until it is ten times as big and you start getting squeezed for room. Then it is time for decisions, decisions and decesions. And if your like me you do not want to part or sell any of it. The good thing with kc is that it retains its value or appreciates so it is really like putting the money in the market without the downside. Anyhow that's how i justify my collection. I put a few pictures up in my album of kc and trophy if you care to look. Good luck and enjoy your collecting.
