I just have to say that I actually love this Forum and the hobby:D:D:D

I'm lucky to have found this site because with all the help and advice I've had from fellow collectors like Alex, Louis, Brad, Chuck, Warrior, Wraith, Rob, Kevin Shannon, Peter, the K&C UK gang, Steven Chong and of course the man himself, Andy, and many others, I've accquired knowledge about this hobby, and been able to find some toy soldier sets that I thought were just too far gone for me to get:D:D:D

I think there should be a nationl day for not just our Forum, but for all forums whatever the hobby being:D:p:eek::cool:

Very informative, with a lot of interesting people.

I love this forum, and I consider all of the members friends. One of my great pleasures is getting to meet or visit with the members at the Chicago Show and the New Yori Symposium every year. Thanks guys!

Is that a paid holiday or one of those bogus "national yogurt awareness days"?:D;)

Ohhhhhhh!!! Paid Deffoz!!!!!!:D;)

So all the money contributed to toy soldier collecting, of course:D:D:eek:

A mind is a wonderful thing:p:rolleyes::D

There are many forums, but only a few seem to thrive. I am not sure what comes into play as far as what makes one sucessfull. I think this is a good one. Interesting idea about forums in general. It has been a great source for communicating with others that share your interests.

Some of you have heard this before, but when Shannon told me she wanted to start a forum I told her, "It's a bad idea. I've never seen a forum actually work. Don't be associated with something that will fail." Well, she got the right people involved from the beginning and has definitely proved me wrong. Many thanks to the multitude of people who have together made this the place it is today.

Dare I say, "You were right, dear?"

And something else too.Sometimes it goes way above just talking about toy soldiers and what Andy's going to give us in dispatches.I liked to think that over the years on here i have made quite a few friends.But until i was in the position last year of waiting for my wifes cancer test results to come back,i had no idea how many.The support i got on this forum was staggering.People who have never met me wrote to me giving me their support and friendship,it was simply wonderful.If it wasn't for the fact that i don't want to appear a big girlie i'd confess it almost brought a tear to my eye.(almost i said,almost!!;))

This forum is a cool place to be,so thanks to Shannon and Peter and also to Brad for trying to keep us in line.(No easy task!;))

Well now you've gone and done it. :eek: Say that to her and you will never be hearing the end of it, and most often when she is trying to convince you of following her decisions in the future. Man Peter, you have done yourself in.....:(:(:p

But it is nice to be done in by such a great decision on her part.:)

No better place to get information on toy soldiers and new releases. Hard to imagine how we ever survived without the internet. I have been a little surprised with how important the business end of this hobby is for many - buying and selling on ebay etc. Also that some consider these to be toys like other collectibles rather than historical miniatures. Not a criticism, it just surprised me a bit since I started collecting due to an interest in history.
