I can't give enough praise for the soldiers K&C are making.I starting collecting Three years ago so I am new to the joys of toy soldier collecting. Not being as aff'luent as other members I am always on a strict budget as to what is left over at the end of the week to spend on this hobby. With prices of everyday living going crazy something had to give.It was my hobby or the other one hobby I have of drinking beer.I decided to give drinking away for awhile and put the $40.00 a week I spend on it to save for toy soldiers. This has had a great affect on the way I feel and also the money I have saved to try to keep up with all the must haves being released each month. So K&C have turned a $40.00 a week drunk into a getting healthy fit happy toy soldier collector.Five weeks saved is going to be spent at my local K&C shop this Friday so guys try to give away some nasty vices and spend it on your hobby.Trust me you will feel great and be happy at the extra toys you can get.Simmo.:)

Great Job Sim !

Lets go to the Pub and Celebrate ! :D :p ;)

I wish I could give up the high gas prices since its cutting into my K&C fund. I bought a F150 supercrew 4x4 when gas prices were realistic now I'm regreting it. Wish I bought a festiva the way things are going now.

People need to wake up, the other day I heard a couple of congressmen talking about raising the tax on gas to bring the price to $5 so we would begin to conserve........its going to hit $5 soon without more taxes.

Since everything moves by truck, everything is going up with no end in sight. If the American people do not demand action, by the next election gas will be $10 a gallon.....the gas companies have no shame, or sense.

Gas should be frozen at $1.95 a gallon including all taxes, before a book of matches costs $5.

The high gas prices are good - they are the only way to move away from an oil dependent society. Congress will be the very last place you will get any solution - too much lobbyist money from the oil companies. The electric car and other alternative solutions have been available for 30 years, but the car companies (who would lose money on service) and oil companies have fought it by every means - political, PR, they even forced customers who had leased electric cars in California to return them so they could be destroyed. So you are stuck until either there is a political or military crisis in the middle east, some environmental castrophy occurs (not likely in our lifetime), or incentives are created for alternative solutions through consumer demand (ie high prices). Watch for the prices to drop in the fall if the oil companies believe there is any chance for a democrat to be elected. (I'm a republican so that is not a political statement).

I know this thread is bordering on political but remember the things were discussing here when you go to the voting booth this year. The Dems talk only of more gov't which will increase the money they take from us for more buracracy. Neither party is willing to address the energy issue, France has been supplying the majority of it's power needs thru nuclear for years, There's never been an oil shortage just regulations that continue to cut US production and the oil companies love it, produce less, charge more and continue to redistribute American wealth to the rest of the world.:(

Yes, this is bordering on political, so let's try not to cross the line :)

Happy the man who can keep his toy soldiers and his beer.

Prost!
Brad

I gave up heroin and cocaine. Now when I commit robberies the money goes straight to buying soldiers!
Although I found it a little cheaper doing drugs than buying the soldiers.

Yo Troopers, have to laugh at you guys over there $40 a week and your a drunk, ask the UK Troopers you need $200 just for a night out, plus their paying about $2 1/2 a litre for gas boy is the ceiling gonna fall in on you guys soon.
Bernard.

By keeping my extra finances low so i am less likely to buy expensive fuel and have an auto accident Rob

I still find it hard to buy the figures I want.Gas is 1.33 a Lt in Halifax. Also having a very young family puts soldiers very far down the list for me.But the the beers are 1.00 a beer and .50 for the hard stuff.Thank GOD for the Navy.I had a chance to visit Troops of Time(Jackson Vile) I picked up some Indians from 1776 and some Arnhem figs.I felt like a fat kid in a candy store when I was there.I wish I also had a big bag of money. But I was a very good boy and stayed in my means.Great figs but I little high in price for me.I have to pick very carefully the ones I would like.
Cheers

Tell that to the people in Spain who have just run out of water, or maybe to the Australians who are losing their agricultural heartland. But I am sure all of that is drowned out by the deafening drone of the oil lobby in Washington DC.

There is also a whole platter of other looming environmental threats besides global warming that will only be exacerbated by a changing climate and human overpopulation (to name a few: severe water, food and energy scarcity, air pollution and associated asthma, biodiversity loss, soil depletion, pollinator collapse disorder and cancer stemming from endocrine disruptors, PCBs and electromagnetic radiation).
