A bit harsh, as you do not have all the information ...

So are you saying you will lose money on these items? Still $226 more than Hobby Bunker... A bit harsh for the Figarti collector. I don't know what the dealer cost is but this item will not sit on the shelf for a couple of years. I guess if the dealer can't make their usual profit, they aren't interested.

Another question could be..........Who will be buying the carrier for the Karl Morser as well?......If both items are limited to 100 of each but not every collector who buys the KM gets the carrier, there could to be a surplus of these carriers at the end of the sales run?.....

I was thinking the same thing. Also, what about the panzer IV loader?

Has Figarti made all 100 of each sets the loader Panzer IV and the rail carrier??Figarti Must have taken into consideration that this may happen so, maybe only a certain number have been made to date awaiting orders and demand. The rail attachments without Odin are useless really perhaps Rick can comment on this

Dear Mitch,

Since we own our own factory, Figarti is making less than 100 Karl Morser Railway Carriers at this time, and will make the rest depending on demand.

Thank you for your support.

I ordered everything and will do for all the items that will be released in the future. Thanks Figarti for that frenzy.

Attn Rick @ Figarti

Fab looking series.

A suggestion for you regarding the timing of the release of the different wagons and assesories etc. It may be a good idea to make less than 100 now and leave the possibility of making more next year (or the year after) of all the items in the railway series up to your maximum limit. The reason being some people may like to get all the items but could not afford to preorder them all at once. If people knew they could still get all the items as they were able to afford them rather than when they are released you may get more takers.

Just a thought.

regards

stephen

Rick...

Thanks for that and, is a great way to tempt those who buy the Karl to still be able to get the rail attachments when finance allows. As I said, before, its obvious you want to make a profit but, its really showing that this release has been also greatly about helping the collector get and own a 'shock and awe' piece.
Kudos to Figarti

Figarti's Effort to make a Shock and Awe product affordable is appreciated and to be applauded....especially in these difficult economic times...many Thanks to Rick and Figarti for their fine products.

Rick,

Congrats on another round of incredible releases! I am looking forward to finally being able to add one of your shock & awe pieces to my collection:) All the best, Lawrence

Pre-ordered the locomotive & Karl! Great looking pieces, now I just have to wait till it arrives:cool:! Kudos for making such a great looking unique piece of history.

Ordered Karl and railmount
also Br-52
I might have to choose one or the other
making room for Karl on rail but she wont let me
put the engine in dining room
What should i do?

Dining Room? Who can buy food after buying these?:)

It really is a hard call, they both look great but if I had to get just one it would be the Karl. IMHO, you will probably have more luck finding another locomotive in the future, or at least one you could convert, then you would a unique piece like that monster mortor.

When compared with the release of their Stryker and Abrams, the answer is a resounding NO- If this entire set cost approximately $2,800 then that is 11 Abrams or 12 Strykers I could own instead- I think a rolling column of a dozen Abrams would be far more intimidating.

Given the additional hassle of trying to figure out which pieces I would want or not want, it just seems too difficult, then, compound the fact that the run on all the pieces doesn't sound locked (ie, if demand is there, we will produce more) that kind of factors into it for me as well.

You figure with a limited run of 100 strykers and 100 abrams- for the same amount of money you spend on this railgun, can say you own 12% of the entire world's collection of Abrams or Styrkers in your own personal collection.

For me, it's just too obscure a piece- would much rather have the OIF sets.

I think the obscurity is a part of its attraction

Agree wholeheartedly- I know there have been people clammering for German Rail Guns for several years now......

.....just like Simon and I have been clammering for Arams for several years now :D:D

The thing is another manufacturer may revisit an Abrahms in the future I would think that nobody will revisit the Karl series. I think that column of tanks would indeed be a sight to see.

A lot of people in the hobby have wondered why it took so long to get an Abrams now in 2010- this is the first we have seen aside from Forces of valor/ 21st Century. I feel if it doesn't sell well, then we may not see it again for another decade. And with the way prices have increased, if we don't see another one for 5-7 years, it could well be over $300/ pop which would make it out of the realm of possibility perhaps.

Not to knock you guys who are getting it- more power to you- the Abrams is the Rolls Royce of armored combat and I just love that fire breathing dragon more than anything. :)

How about a company of M60A3's, I mean the static nature of polystone displays would look just like the real thing....broken down on the side of the autobahn:eek::D! Send me a pic of that M1 company, that would be an awesome display as well:cool:>
