How many of you guys getting the WS103 88mm Flak? (1 Viewer)

There's several pics of this thing floating around the internet. But they're all early war, no one I've talked to has found reference of one in Normandy yet, though it is certainly quite possible.

That's true, but as there is no evidence that it wasn't at Normandy I'm happy to play 'let's pretend' ;) :D But the Fantasy Rammjager and the Ersatz German armoured car are to much of a stretch imo

I think Andy's quote from a previous thread is quite telling:

"1. The upcoming half-track mounted 88 is an 88mm FlaK18 (Sfl) auf Zugkraftwagen 12t better known as the Sd.Kfz.8 DB9… what a mouthful! It is indeed mounted on a 12 ton halftrack not the 18 ton FAMO. I think Oz got it correct on this one… well spotted! And here’s the plans to prove it… from George Bradford’s German Early War Armoured Fighting Vehicles… great book!"

I've bolded his source.

That said, it's real so I'm willing to cut it some slack in regards to placement.

Maybe... but I am still waiting to see a photo of a Rammjäger.

Pierre.

I found one, I found one......:D:D

Yea, it is pretty ugly but it looks like a brute. Too each his own:). I still hope K&C will do a towed 88 with mover again:cool:.

Yep can never have enough 88's in my opinion;).

Rob

Exactly so! Now I just need a couple of Fireflys to take them out:eek:

Hi guys,

may i ask how many of you guys are getting the WS103 88mm Flak 18 (sf1.) aufZugkraftwagen?

I haven't make up my mind on this one yet..

Do you think Andy will make the Afrika Korps Flak 88 in the future?

Sincerely,

Nasir Kasmani.

Of course you can ask Nasir,as long as you promise not to tell my wife!;)

well Rob,

i wont tell your wife about the 88, as long as you dont tell my partner about (young?) Rommel's Horch.:)

You got to give the thumbs up to King & country making this half track & I will be buying one ;)
There some nice photos in Concord German half-tracks of WW2

I agree, I collected mine on Saturday and reckon it will be another classic sort after piece in the not to distant future.
