A collaborative project for fun - we did the backdrop on a 90 degree curve to create depth; two JG backdrops joined. The water is single pour and figures cannot sit on it without slowly sinking; so we put them on gladwrap, which provides the effect of motion under the canoe. There is a large number of two part water products on the market and each has its plus and minus. It becomes a matter of choosing the product for the task. We are working our way through the entire range to test potential.
 
The flood gates are open, anything is fair game now, even bears. A particularly nice series by John. Robin.

There will be bears and other animals, in Melbourne Robin, but this one is a common brand from Toyworld :)

Well Wayne,the move into Napoleonics and FWI has not lessened your presentation skills-your groundwork and backgrounds are as sharp as ever.Well done that man.

I was commissioned to create a diorama for the Melbourne dinner, it is still a work in progress but is 95% complete. I will invite Bob (Fitzgibbon) to add any further comment.

No doubt WW1, but equally as good for WW11. Excellent structure, very versatile and a credit to you Wayne. This one is going to be hard to beat at the Melbourne show, best of luck. Robin.
 
Nice work Wayne and really on the money. This diorama follows a theme we have been developing across several periods with the combination of three elements: road, bridge and water. We spent a lot of time with a Napoleonic project to be unveiled at Howard Woods' event next month north of Melbourne, but Wayne's passion for WWI presented a parallel opportunity to cover the Twentieth Century conflicts. This one presents a further opportunity to showcase a product supplied by our friend Dave of Modeller's Warehouse. We will demo the water product by pouring this river at Howard's for the benefit of his guests.
This and several other bases provide display space for columns of troops.
