"Hussars in Garrison" (1 Viewer)

Andy,

thanks for the wonderful video of the Hussars, they are looking great 'en masse' in Gordon's fortified town.

I think 'I spy' a new figure, he's the bugler of the 7th Hussars, resplendent in his light green shako, and reverse colours, MOST colourful.

I can't fins any more figures for this range, the others look like older K&C releases, or Del Prado, but I'll have another look.

Well Done, and have a great time this weekend :)

Who said your eyes are shot John^&grin, good pickup, I missed it. Really would like that fortified village. Very colourful range of figures these Hussar's. Another nice video clip. Robin.

Also think the land girl to the extreme left of the scene and the cattle are new. Robin.

I don't know who suggested that ???? ^&confuse

John

Reminds of F-Troop series where Corporal Argan is told when he comes up with a good idea, now come people say he is 'dumb' and sometime later it dawns on Argon to ask.... Who says I am dumb?^&grin, Robin. Hey John the intricate painting you do says something about your eyes.:salute::

Ahhh the Shako, what a terribly uncomfortable piece of headgear. My scar tissue from wearing them in college is likely why I don't collect Napoleonics. Still, nice figures and a great dio!

What a great and colourful diorama !!!!!!!
Love the city buildings and wall

I think the diorama is build by artmabigor.
Unfortunately, the images from his thread are no longer there ...... ..

Hi Guys,

Greetings from Chicago on the first beautiful day of Fall/Autumn...The wonderful
medieval buildings , gate and walls are the fine work of a very talented French
modeller, "Artmabigor".

We were fortunate to purchase this from an American collector some time ago. Gordon and yours truly added the grass and cobblestone base for display
purposes at shows like Chicago.

"Artmabigor" did a magnificent job on this very large piece....Thanks for your kind and appreciative comments, Andy in Chicago.

Looks like K&C is going No Holds Barred for their displays for this show ! Another inspiring Diorama ! :salute::

Great diorama! Nice to see all these Napoleonic figures massed together and displayed amongst excellent buildings.
Cheers,
Brendan

I think I have found another new figure .... ????

Its a riderless horse, head down eating from a bowl ???

Anyone found anything else ???

Great series; particularly like the way the horses come separate from their dismounted rider. The mounting trooper, for instance, can be mounting any of the different posed horses so there is a large range of possible scenes. Just fabulous! :salute:: The lady in the straw hat is an oldie but goodie and there are a few non-K&C figures sprinkled sparingly around, which just adds to the overall effect. The 3rd Hussar in the corner poses a tantalising question about future release of 'that other regiment' from the movie....duelling perhaps...hmmm?

K&C could have gone one up by packaging the "mounting up" trooper from NA304 set, separately from the horse. In case one wanted to get a trooper to go with each of the other standing horses released.

Andy has dropped an odd hint about the movie Bob, so maybe you're onto something here?
