I’m dancing as fast as I can! (1 Viewer)

Ludwig,
A point you should also consider is that Andy also receives multiple messages from other collectors who are not on this forum. I know from my own customers (who are not on this forum) quite a few have written to him directly and received personal replies. I frequently forward suggestions and comments to him and then send on his replies to the collector.

Incidentally did you have the chance to speak to Andy at the recent Texas show ?

Regards
Brett

Here we go again. The world according to Brett. Simmo.

No...I also do not threaten to let their tires down.

I have a really bad taste in humour. I will admit to this Jack and I will take full blame for my actions. I try to keep to myself and can I say that no tyres were hurt or damaged in anyway with my attempt at humour. So Jack keep well and I do love tyres. Simmo.

I don't know of any other Company owner who hosts a regular dinner, you can't get any more personal a response than that, a event where one can ask one on one any questions about products now and in the furture and get a figure as well, sounds good to me and I'll be there for sure...looking forward to a great night ......:smile2:

PA, it is my home town and have a seat booked and paid for, very lucky we are here to have a bricks and mortar shop and a small but great bunch of blokes who are fellow madmen to enjoy our hobby with. I have list of questions for Andy and sure so have all the other blokes, we don't have any shows here in OZ so this dinner is our get together......:smile2:

Ludwig, My children serve as altar servers in a town about 20 miles from where we live every Sunday plus all other Masses. The church and the Knights of Columbus recently presented them with awards as altar servers of the year. It was unexpected and I will tell you that it meant the world to them and their parents just knowing that they were appreciated by others for what they do. When I was younger I wrote a US president a letter and he wrote back. I can clearly see now that the letter was a general pre-typed thank you signed I'm sure by a secretary but for years I thought it was the best thing I owned. My point is that being appreciated or being acknowledged once in awhile can go a long way. Like you I call them how I see them and if a product looks bad,I voice it. For that reason I will never be on the appreciated list. And I agree with you for a sports line. Baseball was the big sport during ww2 and I always though that a release of soldiers playing ball would be good, like the end scene from Band of Brothers. Semper Fi, Keith

Kieth, Good to have you aboard. We can be unappreciated together. We actually way outnumber the other team so stay on board my friend. We need more like you not afraid to say how they feel. I just did the KC palm trees.

I was raised and schooled Catholic. I had the wonderful exposure of Protestant religion in my up bringing as well with equal accepted enthusiasm. I continue that duality to this day. With that I really do like the LOJ line. It is lucky for Laura that we have it and it continues.

Anyway, the sports line would be great. But the licensing issue would probably be a nightmare. I wonder if that would apply to old players. Like The Babe etc? I guess research would need to be done on it. I will tell you this. I would love to have sets in my office like turn of the century to say 40's RUGBY, Fussball, American Football, Baseball and Basketball!! Teams in action where you could set up a line and fray!!

Thank you for your post,

Ludwig

I really liked this one Simmo. I also like your humor!!

The problem is we have so few members that have actually spent any time in Australia. They do not understand.

Now for Brett with no offense intended. You are a distributor. That comes with certain limitations and KB obligations. I have clients too. They are like BP; Exxon; Citgo; Valero; Eagle Ford Shale....I would not bad mouth them either!!!....and you will not find one post that does....

Your good friend whom loves Australia and Tasmania.....

How big is this event? Are there like a hundred dealers or what?

No, just Andy and Helen from K&C and Brett from the Military Workshop. Brett organises the dinner/function etc at the local RSL club as well as accommodation for Andy and Helen and out of towner's like myself. Andy provides info on new K&C releases at the dinner and does a meet and greet people in Brett's Shop. People can also ask questions to Andy at the dinner as well. A similar event happens in Sydney a few days later and it's organised by Peter Nathan Toy Soldiers.

Unfortunately this is as big as it gets in Oz but it's great that Andy (and Helen) takes the time to come down and you have dedicated people like Brett and Peter who work hard to put it all together.

Tom
