I’m dancing as fast as I can! (1 Viewer)

Sound advice, as is never look at Toy Soldiers online whilst drunk AND holding credit card, unless your wife is VERY understanding:wink2:

Rob

Like they say if your true emotions come out while intoxicated, being online with credit card could be very complicated and Fun ! :rolleyes2:

I have a very challenging and demanding job. I work long hours,I'm on-call when I'm not working.I see the best and worst in people everyday. I come home to a wife and 4 small children everyday thank god. Home life is busier than work it seems. I guarantee I do not earn the wages that Andy makes. Yet I still make time to volunteer in my community and local hospital and coach little league. I don't think that answering a few customers questions or writing "nice dio" once in a while seems like a very difficult thing to do considering that its reaching out to your own customers that purchase, purchased,or will be purchasing your merchandise. its just part of customer service and being polite in showing appreciation. So you don't have to dance so fast, just be a good dancer.

I just read this and spoke to my wife about it. She is incensed that neither Louis Vuitton, nor David Yurman have commented on the many photos she has of herself dressed up and using their accessories! I work lonngggggg hours, so long in fact that there is no need for me to be on call since I spend 18-20 hours per day in the office. I guarantee I do not make as much money as Louis or David. Yet I still make time on weekends to do volunteer work through my church, spearhead volunteer projects in my office and donate to numerous causes. My wife and I do not think that it is too much to ask to get a “nice use of my accessories” email once in a while from either of them considering they would be reaching out to their own customers who spend thousands of dollars on their merchandise. It should all be part of the customer service. As a matter of fact, the next time I need to call customer service on any Microsoft products, I am going to demand that they let me speak to Bill Gates.

The bottom line is that there are certain people who do not need to dance since they are the ones who are providing the music we dance to.

Having had a chance to re-read this thread, I would venture to say that many, if not most of us, have very demanding lives in one form or another and that there are things that during the day we had planned to do but just ran out of time. I know many a day or weekend I start with the best intentions and sometimes just don't finish.

Not that he needs my assistance but Andy is running a fairly sizeable operation with all the demands that entails, including being away from home a lot. Moreover, speaking of home, let's not forget he has a family and just like the rest of us, no matter how much a titan of this industry he may be, I'll bet he gets his "honey-do's." Maybe he seems a little short sometimes. Well, I can tell you, so am I, and I'm not running a company. Does that excuse me? No, but that's just everyday life.

I couldn't have said it better myself (and BTW, it is great to hear from you).

I think that Andy does a phenomenal job of communicating and being part of this forum. We are all quite lucky that he takes the time to be on here. My point in my previous post was that it is pretty rare to find the President of a company to be so involved with direct feedback from its cliental. Most of the time it is some lower level employee, but in our case on this forum we get to go straight to the person in charge.

I couldn't agree more with these posts. I just came back from a holiday in Hong Kong (yes, pic's are coming) and the holiday included a visit to the K&C shop and HQ. Andy was very busy getting ready for Chicago but he found the time to show me around his HQ and museum as well as a lengthy chat. I doubt many company presidents would do that and would probably delegate the task to a staff member. As for the forum, i am sure he would love to respond to everyone and say great dio's or collection but you have to remember how many collectors there are on this forum (not to mention all the other collectors around the world that are not on here) and to respond to everyone would not be possible. He does an awesome job as it is being on this forum and im sure if he was available, he would go out of his way to meet fellow collectors when they visited him.
