Hahaha,check this out!!!!!!!!!
I research from where i came from, who is my family ancestors,....i always think my ancestors come from Germany or Austria because of my surname, but now i see that my ancestors came from Normandy around 1000+ and they are in England for more than 1000 years!!!!!!!!! So i have a blood of an englisman?
ALL RIGHT!!! And my familly also have a coat of arm and everything.
It is say after the battle of hastings 1066 they get a land in Surrey from some Wilem the Counqurer or something like that.
So that mean i must cheer for Crystal Palace football team because they are from Surrey.
If you do not believe me here is the link where i read all that

http://www.houseofnames.com/fc.asp?sId=&s=Fidler

so now i will like to know how to get contacts of all people that are my relatives in England and USA,Canada,.....maybe we must have a familly reunion,i will like to know more about my family history and stuff like that.....
Maybe i can even get an English passport?
This battle of hastings must count for something right?
How i can get my familly coat of arm, maybe the Queen must give me a titule of sir.....?

I think it is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So do you know anyone that surname is FIDLER,please tell me and i will contact him or her.
I am sure it must be a lot of them in England,USA,Canada,.....so lets party!!!!!!!!!!!

If your family is English, I guess the big question is how did you wind up in Slovenia?

yes is not this great???
So it is obvioustly people come from diferent parts of the world in the history and now they live in some other part of the world but still it is immportant to know the roots.
I sure like to know more about my familly roots.
In this link it is also say that Fidler come from a French surname Le Fidelaire an dit is also a little town with 950+ people live in this town today in Normany north part of France. When this people come in England in 1066 they change their surname from Le Fidelaire to Fidler (which is surname i wear today).
So who am i:

-French? because it is all start in Normandy

-English? because in english they change surname in a surname i wear today

Maybe i need to visit this town in Normandy to get more info.Maybe there is a castle waiting for me:D:D in Normandy

where can i get more info about my ancestors, surname history,...?

I need to contact England or french autorities and get a proper respect i deserve :D:D

Do not forget my familly fight in Hastings!

FREEEEEEEEEEEDOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe it's like in The Prisoner Of Zenda except an English noble had the affair in Slovania. Look for twin cousins.

If your family is English, I guess the big question is how did you wind up in Slovenia?

Yes this is something i wannt to know the most.
I think they came from France from teh North of France (Normandy) because even today there is a town call Le Fidelaire small town of 950+ people.Mayb esome lord have this village and he go to a war path with his king to attack England. There he fight with William the Counqurer at the battle of Hastings in 1066.So the William gave him a land in Surrey, but than something must of happened.
Maybe som epeople stay in England and change their surname to sound English so they change to Fidler(which is also my surname) and some of them maybe return back to France to Normandy, still have surname Le Fidelaire.

But even if my ancestor stay in England or go back to France,it was 1000 years ago and i am sure people go to some other war path in some other part of the country, maybe when France attack German and my ancestor marryd some german woman and through the ages the surname change from Le Fidelaire to Fiedler and than from German to Austria and until 1918 Sloveniaj was part of Austro Hungarian Empire so maybe they came from Austria and live in Slovenija and stay here and people do not write and read well at this time and maybe they written wrong surname from Fiedler to Fidler.
Or they keep this english correct surname which is Fidler and my surname is also Fidler and maybe some of the ancestor was a sailor and he came with a ship to some other country maybe Germany,or Slovenija in years 1066-1918.Who knows.
Or maybe he was in the French army in Napoleon time because in my country it was Ilirian Province that was under Napoleon,....

I do not know that i swhy i wannt to get more information an di do not know where to start.
i think maybe the best is in france,Germany,or England because in England they still have my surname and my familly own a familly coat of arm,....?
It must be interesting to get more information about the coat of arm?
So can you give me some info where to look for more informations in England for my surname?

Ho no, you going to be disappointed twice this world cup. Slovenia and England are in the same group, and both maybe will be eliminated....LOL.....little Friday Joke....:D

Regards.

haha!
Yes i have a problem.
I do not know for who i must cheer France,Germany,England or Slovenia. It is all down there on the world cup????

Ales, you may have to go up to Denmark, Norway, and Sweden to find your ancestor. Normandy was given to the Vikings (Normand in French = Man from the North) by the king of France in the 10th century. In exchange they stopped raiding the rest of France and settled there. Of course this could not last very long and nearly 200 years later they crossed the Channel to conquer England...

Be careful what you wish for, Ales, if you become English you will be expected to understand cricket!!

oh noooooo not the saxons:D:D;)

Actually I just did a search on the following French genealogy website:

http://www.genealogie.com/v2/services-nom-de-famille/nom.asp?rubrique=&page=&nom=fidler&x=6&y=15

I could not find any Le Fidelaire born in France between 1890 and 1990. There are a few Fidler mostly in the East part of France. None in Normandy. You guys all crossed the Channel in 1066 ;)

hey thank you for research....i think it will be cool to be french but i guees i do not have no french blood, only english haha:p:p

You're going to have to start collecting redcoats now I suppose. If you seriously want to find out your family tree you have to work backwards. You know your name, your parents and your grandparents. Ask them who their parents were and where and when they were born. Then go to the town where they were born and look at the old records of births, deaths, baptisims, and marriages. You may have to go to the old Austrio-Hungrian Archives for census information. Then repeat the process until you can't find out any more information. Don't forget that you have two parents, four grandparents, eight great-grandparents, sixteen great-great-grandparents and so on, so by the time you go back all those generations to the year 1066 you have thousands of ancestors, not just the one Englishman. If you're lucky you may find a link to someone famous so someone else will have done alot of the geneological work for you. My Aunt did this to get into a group called the "Daughters of the American Revolution" where you have to prove your descent from a veteran of that war. She was succesful. So do you have any chip shops in Slovenia?

What is Chip Shop?

Well i am not sure if i can get all that informations from the churches?
Ok,maybe for 100 years or two hunderd years but it is a long way for 1066....
And you must know a lot of this informations is probably lost fo rever,(war,fire,....) a lot of Churches was burn in 15 century when Turk (Otoman Empire) attacks, than First World war,Second world war,Napoleon wars,There were always some fights here haha.
But i get this information in one other forum:

this is the chart of surname in last people counting in England,Wales,Isle of man,...but not for scotland and North Ireland....And my surname wear 2887 people which is in the 2676 place of all surname in England. So taht mean i must have a lot of cousins than haha.
And thi sis just for the surname Fidler(which is also my surname) and not for the others surname like Fiedler,Filler,Vidler,...which is also maybe the same familly three only diferent spelling because some people didnt know how to wrte or something back in the history,....
And in Surrey we are on 14 th place by the surname population of all people living in Surrey.I think this is the base.Maybe i need to visit their church to see maybe how people migrate from England to some other parts like some one go to USA,some one go to Canada and some one obvioustly go to Slovenia.

Can some on etell me more about this Surrey land?
Where is this?
What kind of land, people living there,....
Is this a ghetto or is it a friendly neighbourhood,....?
But what is Grognard write (the link) it is say that this Fidler came from Prusia(sakson Germany). So maybe it is start there all that. And they came from this Prussia or Sakson land to France, than France give this land to Vikings, they were unhappy and go to fight In The England.....

What is a Chip Shop? It's a restaurant where they sell "Fish and Chips". Chips are also known as French Fries or Pomme Frites in other parts of the world. In Britain they eat them with Malt Vinegar instead of Ketchup, which seems wrong, but people seem to like it.:)
