I Am So Happy ! (1 Viewer)

Personally I don't collect AWI ( I would if I was Bill Gates) so the Continentral troops don't excite me but I am excited to hear about the French artillery. I hope it will be as good as the First legion set i have seen pictures of. K and C tend to answer challenges from competition by bringing out competing products LRDG, Ski trooops Tiger) so I hope the upcomming Napoleonic Artillery is really good. I like the Russians but I just cannot begin to collect the Battle of Borodino. (Once again if I was Bill Gates I would buy it all)
Thanks Ron for sharing this info with us
Regards
Damian

Ron,
Understood.

Not to get off the subject, but I saw a blurb on cable about a contest they are having for the Nationals where they are hiring people to run around the stadium dressed as former presidents with huge, puppet like heads; say it ain't so, baseball is such a grand old game and buffoonery like this is not needed.................just my .02.............

As for the French artillery thats great my Russians will flaten them if the cold doesn't do it first....

It seems that your believe that the Napoleonic period was only from 1814 - 1815.

VIVE L' EMPEREUR !!

NAPOLEON !!! :D:D:D

Isn't 1815 the year that meant the most anyway...when the French were destroyed and the little man himself was sent on a second voyage of no return.....:)

Whichever way it may be ... (and I hope one day soon, we can test all our theories via an online battle such as Napoleonics Total War)

if there are more French artillery & AWI troopers on the horizon ... it would likely mean more retirements coming up. So collectors may want to stock up on your troopers, horsed and artillery pieces.

I was just looking at the earlier French gun (NA064) and it didn't look very big, but the guys had HUGE ORANGE plumes.

I was wondering. If the new gun is a big 12 pounder, then the guys may not feel the need for "large plume" compensation ;)

La grand plume de ma tante

I would think that next French Artillery will be a large gun and with a lot of detail. Look at what is being done with the "Charge" range and the new Nap. Russian Gun set - WOW ! - Really Great work, IMHO.

Artillery was the main event with NAPOLEON and I am sure Andy, isnt going to disappoint us with this next offering.

On the Old Guard Artillery Set - I really liked it ! Looks great with lots of action. Again, IMHO. :D

Ron, I haven't seen K & C do a bad artillery piece yet, so I expect it to be another good'un, and I'm thinking it'll be a big'un as well :D

Plumes? I thought those were just extra swabs for the gun barrels:confused:.;).

It was very hard to find men of that caliber, it wasn't a 'one size fit's all' situation ;)

I think that Napoleon tried to make up for his size by having large guns....unfortunitly it didn't work.....

Just talked with Andy and I AM SO HAPPY !! :D

For all you wonderful Napoleonic Collectors !! We are getting new French Artillery THIS YEAR !! Yep, thats right - THIS YEAR !

but wait theres more ..............

For all you American War of Independence Collectors !! We are getting new American Continental Troops THIS YEAR !! - Yes, Oh Yes - THIS YEAR !!

As Andy said - "there you heard it from the horses mouth !"

What a morning this friday turned out to be - the wife getting frisky and great news from Andy. ;) I think I will go play the lottery
wondering your thoughts? It seems like the new Naps are gonna be lancers vsthe russians. Will that be a regiment that will fit in a more waterloo type collection? I think I am gonna pass on the russians but Lancers I am thinking I might be able to use. Rob

Rob

... but the Russians are here already, and the lancers are not.

And if its Waterloo situation that you are interested in ... the Russians can stand in for the Prussians, until they make an apperance in K&C.

Must get more guns .. and back to the lottery :p

Rob

I will take any and all NAPOLEONICS we can get ! :D

Hopefully Polish lancers will come out - they were great sellers in the KCS range - I believe Andy saw that?

I am sure we will have a few surprizes this year as well.

Ron

How about some Dutch Lancers? Anyone want to see other British Cav besides Scots Greys, which are great BTW, but where is the rest of the Union Brigade? Don't tell me they are back at the depots looking for their plumes either:rolleyes::D.
