Hello All Treefroggers

It would be interesting to determine, which of the so called clubs is BIGGER ... ie. the "I came to this forum as a AWI/Napoleonic Collector and got brainwashed into WWII " , or ... the " I came to this forum as a WWII Collector and got brainwashed into AWI/Napoleonics. "

Whilst there might be more of the first group presently, if K&C continues with the new releases such as the Hessians, new artillery and napoleonic cavalry ... I strongly suspect that converts to the latter group could outgrow the first.

So which Club, do you belong to ?

Funny - I think I have heard this statement somewhere before ?? :p

I go one way - one day and then back again  Call me the pendulum man ;)

While I have over 200 diecast WW II aircraft/armor pieces I came to this forum as a Napoleonic/Crusader collector. I held off longer than any of my buddies would have guessed but in the end I couldn't resist WW II. I can't wait for the Hummel and BB figures to arrive.... :D

Probably about 75 - 80% WWII with the rest being WWI, AWI, Crimea, and a few Crusaders.

99.99% WWII, but cos I liked them;) got a few K&C crusaders, capturing bin laden and some patriot naps....:D but sticking with WWII, it was a big war;):D

I'm becoming part of camp B; Started collecting WWII, now I'm selling some of those items to get extra funds for AWI/Napoleonics. I'm scrambling for extra money right now with the back to back releases of Napoleonic Russians and Hessians.

100% WW2,but i do like the look of the Naps.

Rob

I collect stuff that my family was involved with (excluding ancients- who knows). That being said, I am WW2 and am not sure if we had anyone ride with Nappy or Wellington. But, given that my family is full of tough old dogs, we would have been with Wellington.

I bought a Napoleon with a Mameluke for my father. Then a bunch of Napoleonics. Then all over the place. Settled on the 19th century only to start buying the LAH series:eek:

Do you have the LAH motorcycle combo? I haven't seen it in person but I think the other motorcycle combo sets they have done are great pieces and I was considering getting the newer LAH motorcycle set. As for brainwashed into WWII it didn't take this forum for that although I did manage to start collecting crusaders after I joined the forum. How did that happen:confused::).

I have seen the LAH combo and I have the Afrika Korps combo which I'm very happy with. They are terrific models and the only downside to the motorcycle combos is that they are relatively expensive compared to say the tank sets.

I've got the same AK motorcycle set and I love it. They really are nicely done models. While they do tend to the expensive side compared to the tank sets that might have to do with smaller vehicles actually being a bit harder to produce, just a WAG there:). I usually find myself short of proper support vehicles of all kinds as I just can't resist the armor pieces and end up telling myself I'll get around to getting that jeep next month! I wonder what they are retiring tommorow that I've put off getting !
