Hi all,
Out of the desert of N. Africa... I recently picked up an FT-17 Normandy Pillbox (WS296). Last year, I had my choice between the newer FT-17 and WS193 Normandy Pillbox (b-day gift from the Mrs.) $20 less and a removable top, I ended up going with WS193 (plus the hobby shop I purchased it in had difficulty finding the box for the FT-17). In any case, I thought WS193 was a wonderful structure by K&C. I found it small enough to take some pictures with a limited size backdrop, and liked the additional little details including the metal rods for climbing.
I finally brought myself to picking up the FT-17 and absolutely love it. I love the removable MG34 machine gun and the panzer poster is top notch! Adds a nice element of detail to the grey pillbox. For those of you who really like the poster, it is included in the decal sheet for the SP065 Battle-Scarred Building.
Took a few shots this morning as part of a small dio; here's one of them:

Now I'm looking at some "action kill" British Commando figures to sneak up on the gun mounted FT-17. Would not mind seeing some new Waffen SS figures from K&C as well.
