My Wife was looking at pictures of her childhood. Some were Guadalcanal, Malta, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia there were others but this is when it got funny. Sue my wife and her sister were standing against a Kangaroo. I asked how did yous get so close, Sue looked at me and he was dead. I was kinda shocked then she explained they would shoot them because there pests. That Australia had thousands and they were a nuisance. I said the Scots have the same problem but there called Britts.I thought it was funny.

Unfortunately, the kangaroos ate rabbits and cane toads, so once their numbers were reduced, the rabbits and cane toads had no remaining natural enemies, and they've run wild.

There is about 60 Million Kangaroo's down here?..did a big drive thru the Outback a few years back there was one place that had "roo's" everywere.
Big red ones they just kinda stand there and look at you as you drive past slowly....kinda cool though!

If only that were true, the introduction of rabbits and cane toads into Australia was and does remain one of the more crazy (insane) acts of our forbears.

The photograph of the Kangaroo surfing has obviously been photoshopped and in no way represents reality.

Kangaroos tend to prefer the long boards.

Sorry Baron but your post struck me rather funny ^&grin....Kangaroos are Herbivorous and don't eat meat they eat grass,plants and grains.

It is worth adding that though the big Kangaroos don't eat you, they can actually kill you. If you are ever confronted by an angry Kangaroo and he sits back on his tail and starts to bring his hind legs up, back off!

Not only are Kangaroos known to eat roots and leaves, they also play Rugby league and are world champions, Wallabies also play Rugby Union, but are not quite world champions (yet).
