IMO FL is strong in many ranges( napoleonics, ACW, crusades, renaissance and so on), but not so much in ww2. I definetely prefer KC in ww2( even if not every item of it).

I would not really go as far as that but, seriously for me, the only thing that was a let down with the Stalingrad range was the hats and the facial features of the troops on all sides. Its not a bother to some nor, even something some of the FL collectors notice and, that's fine. For me, sadly it was an issue. I will however after seeing the SS which, looked better in terms of facial features be getting them as I am interested in what the camo jackets will look like.

It has always been strange to me how facial features were not so problematic lets say in their other ranges but, each to their own. The samurai are very good as are the crusades

I have never bought a TS in person no TS shops in my State,so its all online and the forum so if i had the luxury of seeing one in a shop i would.
This thread is a little bit of fun not meant to insult or have a go at anybody so if it has i apoligise a bit of "AUSSIE" humour thats all.

No harm received, no harm intended, that's for sure.
It really makes a difference, seeing the pics that the mfrs. put up on the net as promotions of their products, and the actual view "eye to eye".
Collectors who can walk/drive to an actual Toy Soldier shop, or are able to attend some of the frequent shows, surely have an advantage.

Wayne if you lash out and buy a couple you will be very happy. The only down size is they are more money then you want to spend. The germans are really good . Simmo.

Not sure if the gap between the price of FL and other brands is as wide at is once was in terms of figure prices. I was not a fan of the Stalingrad figures overall they are painted and sculpted well just a few things I personally did not like. the Waffen SS from the pictures displayed look very good and, I will purchase these as the things that put me off the early ranges in WWII are not on show with these and, the camo looks very well done indeed
