Can anyone help identify the two horses below please - and help with what they were made for/attached to? Found in a car-boot-sale - for £2-the pair.
There are no visible makers marks anywhere - and are clearly at the "toys" end of the spectrum.
They are "sort-of" around 54mm - or maybe a tad smaller - and are intact - but clearly well played with. They look as if they may have been pulling some sort of cart - due to the wear marks around the horse collars. Both are made from metal and appear to be hollowcasts.
My aim is to restore them - as they are nice little things - and maybe try to find the cart to complete the original piece - if possible.
Thanks for any advice - johnnybach
