Well,,,,,,,,, I would be in full kevlar, LBE and ruck, wearing BDU's (Battle Dress Uniform) circa 1991 and more than likely in the front leaning rest position (ie push up) position where I seemed to spend most of my military career!!! {sm4}{sm3}
I know I've already mentioned this in the glossy section but mine would be a Blues & Royals Farrier shoeing up a Horse for the Redcoats Range! Much along the lines of the old Home Farm Farrier set.

A Dink? If I remember corectly is that Army slang for a new recruit? Lol the reason I've taken an interest in is the Blues & Royals is I've recently found out through my Nans sister that there father (my Great Grandad) was in that Regiment, I don't no much more then that but its always interesting to find out tidbits about your family history from time to time,

"Dinky Does" Blues. Although we could call them new recruits, the Royal Horse Guards carried out the duties of Household Cavalry but they weren't until official so untill 1832(I believe) and of course they have been diluted further by the addition of a line regiment! Did your relative serve pre 1969 (Royal Horse Guards = The Blues) or post (Royal Horse Guards/Royal Dragoons = Blues and Royals).

I'm not sure of a date but I know he wasn't old enought to serve in WW1 but must of been out by the late 20's as my nan said he worked in the carpet factory's by time she was born in 1928. So he must of been a (Blues) Royal Horseguard.
