This was brought up on my Stereotypes thread but didn't want to return there because it had started to get personal. Brad and Chris were discussing the merits of the ignore button and I'd like to say its useful to just take a break from someones posts , it doesn't have to permanent but just to give you a break and help to avoid further argument. In the last two days I've had to use mine I'm afraid but at least I am not getting involved in arguments, I think its a useful tool for now and again.

Cheers

Don't let them get you down, Rob, I often get ignored without the use of technology. So I should worry and lose my shape? Trooper

Yes it was that post of your's in which you described all Postman as Idle,drunken, criminal, part time, good for nothings. That 'Part time' Jibe was really below the belt!

Rob

Does it now hide the person's posts altogether? In the previous version of the forum software, it still showed the person's posts in the thread, but hid the content. I always thought that a real ignore feature would just hide the posts altogether.

Sorry but I cannot read what any of you guys have posted here.

In the United States, no one talks about postal workers like that . . . mostly because several postal workers have pulled out automatic weapons and shot up various locations. In the United States when someone goes crazy and does something violent, its called "going postal'.{eek3}

But you are right, calling you "part time" is definitely below the belt . . .^&grin

Rob,
My apologies. When I referred to 'part time', I was only referring to your postal service (service, in the loosest possible sense of the word). In no way was I suggesting that you are anything but a full time idle, drunken, criminal, good for nothing member of our society. :wink2::tongue:

Rob is my role model :D, what I aspire to be.

It can happen Brad. Pick up a nice sequined outfit, a WWII era tin hat, a couple of crates of Gin and a trip on the Metro, and the resemblance will be uncanny. :tongue:

So Rob's stage name is Elton John?:tongue:

Alex Forrest: [to Dan] Well, what am I supposed to do? You won't answer my calls, you change your number. I mean, I'm not gonna be ignored, Dan!
