I just recieved my staff car today....what an outstanding piece! I love it......I wish more WWII Allied leaders were done....Marshall? Nimitz? I could go on and on......this is my second IKE figure. The only way this could have been better is if it came with a little black Scottie Dog...Telek! Thought I'd share the great brochure that came with this set.....if you have not picked it up yet I would recommend calling your favorite dealer and doing so! Check out the great little scene on the last page.....ideas!

Thanks for sharing, I'm eagerly awaiting my set, should arrive soon. Did some searching on the net and I believe Ike's staff car as represented by K&C is a 1942 Ford. I too would like to see more Allied personalities done in the future. I've always thought that famous picture at the Yalta conference with a frail Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin would make for a cool SL piece. A collector can dream.

Yalta conference would be a good SL

I agree Mitch - this would make a great one-off set....

It would be and, similar to the bomb plot they could should they wish to have some add on sets of the staff behind to fill out the scene.

Aeroart made it and you can still find it for sale new from some of the Russian makers.I do not have the set but have it on a long want list.Warbuff congrat's on your staff car it is a very nice item.Mike B

I don't know if it's Aeroart but I have a Russian set of two of the big three, Roosevelt and Churchill. The other person who was bidding on the set wanted Stalin only so he got him and I kept the other two. The figures are oversized but quite nice.

I just noticed that I have the 18th set out of 750....ok which one of you has 1-17??

Some pictures after being inspired by the brochure that came with the IKE Staff Car set.....

Was tough finding so many "standing around" airborne troops from other dios that didnt look like they were going to shoot Ike!

Me really, really likes! Also anxiously awaiting my issue, "Ike." Should be here tomorrow...props to Tim @ Troops of Time, for great service...he's truly a class-act. I think I'm going to take mine in, to show my American Government professor. He's a retired Army Major General. He'll get a big kick out of it. Hopefully, he lets me leave with it!^&grin

I got #9 last week. It probably has nothing to do with it, but I ordered one 15 minutes after it was announced. It's a great set. I like the car, but it was the figures that really caught my attention.

Who said you had to use the IKE that came with the car.....switched IKE's and went with the original that fits this scene better.
