Yo Trooper Dan, superb collection, great presentation, its great to see other collectors collections. Well done Trooper.
Bernard.

Yeah... very nice collection, but those drab tank sets kinda detract from all that 18th Century glossy beauty.

Maybe you could keep those out back in the garden or something.

;)

Well done.

Impressive collection, it is an inspiring set of posts. Thanks for sharing.

I thought I'd post some new pictures of my Imperial cabinet. The layout is basically the same from my prior posting, but a few new additions (sorry the photos appear a bit unclear). First, I added display card holders that Cowe made for me (the same ones he uses in the shop) to identify the various sets. It took a bit of doing getting the cards down to the right size so that didn't interfere too much with the soldiers. Second, I cleared out the very bottom shelf so now the entire cabinet is dedicated to Imperial. Fortunately, I have room for more Imperial once Cowe is ready to start making stuff again. Finally, I added a Napoleonic print next to the cabinet. It is an old hand-colored print from 1816 showing Wellington and Blucher at Waterloo at night.

An elegant and tasteful display! Nobody ever made a more attractive glossy figure than Dave Cowe and Imperial. Magnificent!!:cool:

Hi Dan,

The figures in your collection are remarkably beautiful and wonderfully displayed! My compliments for a great collection and a superior presentation of the figures!

Thank you for sharing your collection with us!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

I love the Napoleonic Imperial line. I have a half dozen sets or so. They really are some of the best in toy soldiers napoleonics.

Yo Trooper Dan, you should split these photo's up and put them in your albums in your profile. I would love to see your Crimean closer up. The Cavalry I can see are just superb, wish you other makers would take note of these, nearly all the Cavalry have Shabraque's on their mounts makes them look special. I have to say this is my Favourite collection I have seen so far its stunning. WORD OF WARNING GUYS, if you have any little one's make sure you get re-inforced glass in this type of cabinet, my little Trooper just 1 year old slipped and fell head first into my cabinet, he had a right size bruise on his forehead, only I put laminated glass in the cabinet for this reason it would have been a disaster, doesn't bear thinking about.
Bernard.

I,d have to agree KV , Their Napoleonics are far and away my favourite
imperial /toy soldier series, just fantastic .

Dan the addition of the cards and holders looks excellent ,
The whole display is top notch .

Glad the "Little Trooper" is ok! That is an excellent suggestion for everyone!

Yes, absolutely. Wouldn't want the little trooper to knock any little men over , and get in REAL TROUBLE. Bernard, suggestion would be to put a little DC electric livestock fence around all treasures. It works on bears in my neck of the woods, gotta work on a little Trooper:D Mike

I pulled out some of my favorite Imperial sets from my display cabinet (see pictures of that display earlier in this thread) so I could post pictures of them. The sets include: Set 49B, Mounted Emir and Set 54, Mounted Mahidist Banner Bearer (I think this was one of the first Imperial sets I purchased circa 1995); Set 126, Camel Regiment; Flag Bearers from Sets 84 and 85, Russian Crimean Line Infantry; Set 106 General Colbert and Set 105, a Dutch Lancer (perhaps two of my very favorite Imperial sets); and Set 97 Chasseurs A' Cheval Standard Bearer, this was the first of the 57 Napoloenic sets I purchased - I own all the sets in the series and hope Cowe keeps adding to it. Let me know if you want to see photos of any other sets. I have the Naps, and a good chunk of the Crimean and Sudan sets along with a few early sets. Drum, of course, is the true librarian for Imperial and can provide a photo reference for any Imperial set ever made. Anyway, post shots of your favorite Imperial sets. I would love to see them.

Yo Trooper, as usual just stunning to see these Imperial Soldiers. Only my personal opinion because I collect British Cavalry, these Imperial must rank as the finest Cavalry ever produced in over 100 years of Toy Soldier making. Thanks for showing them Dan, and certainly wont get bored looking at the rest you have.:D
Bernard.

Great photos, many thanks for posting them. These are stunning figures! I love the Camel Corps, indeed the Sudan series looks excellent, too bad it seems to be downsized at the moment. But of course my favorites are General Colbert and the Dutch Lancer, 2 must haves:p.

I thought I'd post a few more shots. See below. Also, per Cardigan600's suggestion and some emails from other folks, I created some folders with pictures of these and other Imperial sets under my user profile. It is all public so feel free to check it out. Best,

DK
